First time I had one was a few years ago when I went to Dubai. But yes. One is a shawarma plate, the other is a sandwitch. The plate usually cost much more though, and comes with rice, salad, steamed/grilled vegtables, along with everything that would make up the sandwitch in larger amounds, only without the bread.
