I hear it all the time on here, that Floyd has to prove himself to be a draw because Oscar carried the 1st card and Hatton carried the 2nd card. At best they say that Floyd was even up or just lower then Hatton but Ricky was definatly the draw.

When it comes to the Oscar fight I will give him his props because we all know who Oscar is but he still broke records with Floyd. No one has more big names on there resume than Oscar and he broke boxing records with Floyd. Dont tell me that Floyd had nothing to do with that. If you think that then youre lying to yourself but again, Ill give Oscar his due.

Hatton though, gets nothing from me. I dont see how people and media guys can sit there and say that with a straight face. Its like they dont even really think about it. I always ask this one question and I still never get a response. Who the hell in the US knew who Hatton was? No one. Sure he's beein in Europe and has some fans coming over but what does that have to do with US PPV sales. No one knew Hatton, no one. It was Floyd that sold that fight in the US and Floyd only. Dont give me this stuff that Floyd hasnt proven anything when it comes to sales or being the draw. Who knew Hatton? Seriously. No one was spending all that money to see Hatton fight. People knew Floyd. Give the man his props

Then why did Floyd choose to fight him? Wasn't the reason Floyd took the fight was because of Hatton's fanbase?

My Point: Floyd helped the big drawings.. but people were there to see him loose.. he was going againts fighters with bigger followings.. he was the man to beat at the time but he wasnt a draw.. the people he's fighting againts is what makes the REAL draw.. People wanna see Mayweather loose..

2.hatton is and had many people in the uk buy the ppv and go to vegas to see him fight
3.the biggest thing that sold the fight was the aspect of two undefeated fighters going at it....one would lose and the other would still be undefeated....hatton has a crowd pleasing style floyd doesnt hatton only was marketable to casual fans not from uk because he was undefeated thats why him vs pac didnt break a million

baldomir is not a no name he just beat zab which made a fanbase for him i was a fan then he beats gatti everyone watched gatti fight and they saw him ko gatti thus more fans he had that underdog who made it appeal to him kinda like gatti did every one loves a underdog besides he was the lineal ww champion......gatti is self explanatory he can fight any body and he would get poeple to see it.....zab fight was a good matchup and it had people interested.....hatton was the draw im talking about ppv numbers and the fact that both were undefeated at the time.....hatton has a fanbase in the u.s. too he has a crowd pleasing style....and people wanted to see floyd lose..... do you have a link to these numbers? they seem fabricated........floyd is not draw he has a tiny fanbase
