      1. floyd is not a draw
2.hatton is and had many people in the uk buy the ppv and go to vegas to see him fight
3.the biggest thing that sold the fight was the aspect of two undefeated fighters going at it....one would lose and the other would still be undefeated....hatton has a crowd pleasing style floyd doesnt hatton only was marketable to casual fans not from uk because he was undefeated thats why him vs pac didnt break a million

When it comes to the Oscar fight I will give him his props because we all know who Oscar is but he still broke records with Floyd. No one has more big names on there resume than Oscar and he broke boxing records with Floyd. Dont tell me that Floyd had nothing to do with that. If you think that then youre lying to yourself but again, Ill give Oscar his due.

Hatton though, gets nothing from me. I dont see how people and media guys can sit there and say that with a straight face. Its like they dont even really think about it. I always ask this one question and I still never get a response. Who the hell in the US knew who Hatton was? No one. Sure he's beein in Europe and has some fans coming over but what does that have to do with US PPV sales. No one knew Hatton, no one. It was Floyd that sold that fight in the US and Floyd only. Dont give me this stuff that Floyd hasnt proven anything when it comes to sales or being the draw. Who knew Hatton? Seriously. No one was spending all that money to see Hatton fight. People knew Floyd. Give the man his props
Did you see the amount of fans Hatton brings to Vegas with him... he filled Manchester City stadium for his fight with Juan Lazcano.

Saying Floyd isn't a draw is ****** though... Hatton and DLH didn't get the best numbers with Floyd for no reason.

What are you serious. If you didn't know who Hatton was then you don't know Boxing. I've known who Ricky was sinse 2002 when he was on Showtime. Ricky was for sure the bigger draw for example when floyd fought Zab Judah the PPV sales were horrible inlcuding his fight with the Argentuina guy(I forgot his name) too. Ricky brought over 30,000 to Vegas with him. This thread is ******.

Oh ****, you said the draw? I thought you said a draw. I think Floyd was the main draw against Hatton... but Hatton definitley had something to do with it.

Dont talk crazy kid. Ofcourse I know who Hatton was just like you did but we are hardcore fans. Im talkin about mainstream which is how big PPV numbers get done. No mainstream people knew who Hatton was. No one. People in the US didnt know Hatton unless they were from Machester or are super die hard fans. Either way you wont get big US PPV numbers like that. The fight had big numbers because of Floyd. Again, why does everyone keep talkin about the gate? I know Hatton had fans come over here. Its a bigger sport in Manchester and he will pick the house no matter where he fights in the US but thats 95% people from England. That has nothing to do with US PPV sales. No one knew Hatton, NO one!

hahaha, a deluded, ******ed fish frog you are then! look at the weigh in, "who are you here to see?"

i didnt here many floyd fans if any. did you? look at las vegas on fight week, how many floyd fans were there?? about 3?

the yanks did know who hatton was because he had already fought there 3 times.

1.4 million PPV buys in the UK alone. @ 4am.

was it about 925k buys in america? well floyd hasnt got anywhere near that amount of fans.

Hatton brought an army of fans to every fight, and if theres no fans, theres no money.

ODH was the draw againts Mayweather..
Hatton was the draw againts Mayweather..
Juan Manuel Marquez...... ummm... Floyd...ummm.. yea.. niether one can draw...

My Point: Floyd helped the big drawings.. but people were there to see him loose.. he was going againts fighters with bigger followings.. he was the man to beat at the time but he wasnt a draw.. the people he's fighting againts is what makes the REAL draw.. People wanna see Mayweather loose..
