Cotto. Not that Cotto did anything spectacular. Because Mosley didnt do anything when he had the fight won. IMO. It was Mosleys fight to win. And he didnt, he let Cotto take the D. It was no clear ass kicking. Nothing that wow'd anyone. The right man won.

When he saw the bout getting away from him, he did the natural thing and made a fight of it, but there was no plan for Miguel by him and his dad. They clearly went in there thinking they were going to knock him out after seeing Judah bother him early imo.

In fact, look at Shane's face in the corner at the end of round 5. He's spent almost the first half of the bout trying to put Cotto's lights out and he's already behind. Not really any combinations going on. The expression on his face says it all... he can't believe that he's in a real fight. Cotto wasn't supposed to be that good. For the first time during round 6 he switches gears and tries to box instead..

it was crazy stuff watching what appeared to be a 0 plan from the Mosley camp.
That loss wasn't about Cotto being that good, it was more about Mosley being too old to fight that way, as you said. An old fighter can't expect to "be there first" you know what i mean? But i admit, throughout the fight i kept thinking "5 years ago, Shane would have whooped him so bad, fighting just the way he's fighting now". But also as i said, credit to Miguel for the greatest performance of his career that night. As for Mosley he's out of real contention really. He wants Pacquiao because he wants a big cashout check and that's about it. Sad story he can't really get that fight he deserves.

Exactly. Mosley proved what an overrated fighter he is by allowing someone on Cotto's level to stay competitive with him. A true ATG like Floyd Mayweather would never allow that to happen, even on an "off night."

The media and the boxing establishment have always overrated Mosley cuz he's willing to act like their pet. Instead of always speaking the truth to power like Floyd does, Mosley just smiles and says what they want him to say, just like Joe Frazier in the '70s. He's pathetic for trusting them cuz he lets himself be used and they still don't give him any paydays.

But even the overrated Mosley would destroy Cotto in a rematch now that he has a real trainer in his corner. Mosley's idiot father was part of the problem in his first fight cuz his gameplan was horrible.

I felt Cotto deserved the fight. Shane should have been more aggressive and he would have got Miguel out of there. Every time Shane would boom one of his loaded right hands on Cotto's chin, Cotto would do his little dance off number. Shane tried to outbox him early, and that costed him.
