I'm going to be honest, I'm a Shane Mosley fan. Always have been,always will be. I grew up on Shane. Still loved him after Forrest and Winky when everyone else gave up on him and jumped off the band wagon.

With that said, i own the fight on dvr, it's one of my favorite fights to watch and i've watched it a lot. I think Cotto one that fight. I've never seen my boy Mosley hit with such clean,accurate punches,before that fight or since that fight. Cotto's performance in that fight made me a Cotto fan.

I agree, I mean I liked Cotto before but him beating Shane Mosley was very Convincing .....

I had cotto by 2 rounds but I see where it couldve been a draw. The fight was real close IMO. I wonder why Mosley wasnt aggresive like he was vs Margarito.....

what do you think? Maybe he respected Cottos boxing skills more that Margaritos??

The differences that I saw where that Margarito was more than willing to engage and the lack of defense make him a sitting duck against Mosley.

Cotto however, realized that brawling with Mosley was too risky so he started boxing more and became more defensive, picking his shots. Mosley had to go looking for him.

As a huge Shane fan, I believe he had an off night. He just couldn't pull the trigger that night. I had it 7-5 for Cotto and it could have been a draw also. There were a couple close rounds. Mosley looked a little tired in the middle rounds. I also believe that Mosley thought it was going to be a brawl. Cotto suprised him with his boxing that night.

If they would have fought a rematch anytime after that fight. I would have favored Shane and still do.

Also if that was the best version of Cotto. I would have felt bad for him against a Prime Mosley.

Yes I agree, Cotto suprised alot of people including myself because I assumed Mosley would be too skilled for Cotto....Cotto popped the jab and used his right hand pretty well. Mosley was loading up the right hand alot in that fight....
