Chavez has many stay busy wins on his record simply because he took alot of stay busy fights,The fact of the matter is,Is that he also has many top wins on his record,A champion in three weight divisions and the greatest junior welterweight of all time

Pernell Whitaker fought a 7-4 bum named Ben Baez before taking on Julio Cesar Chavez and Buddy McGirt. He had also fought 12-13 Jerry Smith and 7-16 Martin Galvan while reigning as the world champion.

Just before his big showdown with Ray Leonard Thomas Hearns fought unranked Pablo Baez who's ranking and record got mysteriously higher than it was

Your views dont even matter because you were probably in diapers when he use to fight in his prime, I hate motha ****ers that try to judge fighters from the past when they wernt even around to know who was who back then, but answer me this if he was so overated why is it that he was # 1 and 2 P4P fighter of the world for so long???? do your research son!

Don't pay them no mind man. These same kids think Kobe is better than Jordan, real hip hop is Lil Wayne and that JCC fought nothing but bums...

The FACTS are, JCC did fight a lot of times to stay busy, that was his strategy. He also defeated all the top contenders and titlist at his current weight. He was more than a great fighter, he was a legend. His body attack, chin and accuracy is up there with anyone who ever laced up gloves....

No fighter these days could make that sum of fights.

You left out title fights. The man has the greatest amount of successful title fights in history.
