Why do you assume everybody who likes Paul Williams is a Mayweather fan? I know what your agenda is. I understand there are some people who use him as a shield to block criticism directed to their god, but it isn't like that with me at all. I don't have an ounce of respect for Mayweather's path of oppostion and I'm a Williams fan. How can you say that Williams is a coward when he fought Margarito when nobody else wanted to and even did Pavlik's heavy lifting by beating Winky Wright while Pavlik was fighting the Rubios and Locketts? And people should give Williams his props by wanting to fight bigger guys like Pavlik and Hopkins while Cotto squated on the WBO belt he left behind and fighting the mighty Michael Jennings who Williams ducked. LOL. And now Cotto does not even want to put that belt up against a midget.

My bad man, Paul Williams in no way Mayweather and Williams does get on my nerve sometimes but in no way do i label him as i label Mayweather, The difference with Williams is that he does fight like a warrior when he does get in a fight and floyd talks **** in fights and runs, my bad man, i dont like paul but hes still a f ucking exciting warrior when he fights on the ring

I think the fight will happen if HBO gets behind it.

(a) HBO have already said that although they don't mind if he fights Dzinziruk, they'd far rather he fights Clottey - so they're lukewarm about it at best.

(b) Dzinziruk's fall-out with Universum means he definitely won't be able to fight in October - that's far too soon for him to be able sort out the legal problems with Universum, find a new promoter, and get fully fit - and Williams' camp is adamant that he doesn't want to wait beyond October before having his next fight.

So I don't see how Williams-Dzinziruk could possibly happen this year; and I'm still hoping that Williams' next but one fight will be against Pavlik in January, assuming Pavlik's injury heals in time and if Pavlik hasn't completely fallen apart mentally (which I'm worried he might have done, given the reports of missed doctor's appointments, general unfitness, etc.).

If Williams still hopes to fight Pavlik in January then fighting at Welterweight in October wouldn't make much sense, so I don't think he'll fight Clottey this year either.

That leaves him with two options for October - B-Hop or Martinez. Of those I think the Martinez fight would be much easier to make - and a much more meaningful fight, because Williams' camp have said they want Hopkins to come in below the minimum weight he thinks he can make without being weight drained, which is just bull****. If Williams doesn't want to fight Hopkins at his own weight, they shouldn't fight.

If the Williams Pavlik showdown fails to happen, I would be very interested in a showdown between Williams and Dzinziruk. Dzinziruk may be to well know round here, but he is a extremely well schooled Southpaw fighter, with a great Jab and a tight defence.

His most impressive performance would be against world rated and current WBA Champion Daniel Santos, in which Dzinziruk dominates most of the fight with his Jab and even drops Santos before getting a UD victory.

If Williams would be able to dominant Dzinziruk (if they fight), that would be very impressive.
