I Do give him credit but Johnson weas nowhere near what james Toney was when Jones fought him, 2005 fighter of the year or not, Johnson was never ever considered better than the Toney Jones faced. Toney was fighter of the year back then and p4p rated.

The tarver comment was real he put on hella weight for Rocky and was not in great shape for the Hopkins fight.

I love Hopkins but im just saying there are factors that play against him as well in this cause, his wins can be picked apart just like Jones can.

    i want the fight period.
That Johnson you talk about put Roy in a coma and had him stay over night at the hospital am I wrong?

Do you not see the pattern? Roy beats on no hopers, gets knocked out bad. Fights a top LHW in Johnson, almost dies in the ring. He then fights Babalu Ajajamu, Hanshaw struggles and wins. Then he fights a no hoper Trinidad who was fat as hell, and out of the game for 5 years wins, claims that he is back and will fight the elite competition anytime and dominate like he used to in his prime. When he does face an elite LHW, he gets beat up for 12 brutal rounds. Everyone says he is shot and says he will lose to the elite fighters. He then fights a SHOT bum in Shieka who ****** to begin with and looks great, then he faces a man who was never good and on top of that shot in Lacy, and now claims that he is back again. Listen you guys are setting yourselves up for disappointment. The Shieka and Lacy fights were smoke and mirror illusions. Roy WILL lose to any elite fighter he faces like has been the case for the past 5 years.

Jones and Hopkins both fight like a married couple. They should just make it 50-50 and get on with it. It's the biggest money earning fight for the both of them. They need to lay their egos down and think business.

Problem with that CW route is both men are in there 40's and are both 1 loss away from being labeled as old and done anyway, so it would make better sense to fight now while both are hot. But, i expect Jones to beat green and hopkins to win if he face ademak anyway. But something goes wrong for either and the fight would not be as big and from what i've seen Hopkins don't even have a deal on paper yet and hasn't fought in a long time now. Why keep putting a big fight on the back burner when both men are 40?

            The fight wasn't an option.

And hopkins "starting at 175" is silly. The man fought at 175 his first fight in 1988 coming straight out of prison, then didn't fight for 2 years as he trained and learned his craft.
I love how these morons think it's a big deal for Hopkins to weigh that coming out of Jail. Name me one guy who didn't come out large after a 5 year bid. These ******* just don't understand because the only guys they ever saw come out were on TV.

Toney did not drop 40 pounds to fight Jones he fought at the same weight he had in his previous fight for Jones. Toney for what he weighs now was a beast back then he jumped around alot.

lol, no its not. You just structure the deal as 40-40, with a 20% "performance bonus" going to the winner. Nothing illegal at all about it.

I loved that argument, I was laughing whilst listening to it... neither guy need each other, but the fans want it... better late than never.

It's widely known Toney had to lose a lot of weight in a short period of time to fight Jones. Him weighing the same as his previous fight has nothing to with the fact he ballooned up between the two fights.

I'm not using that as an excuse either because I think Jones, at that time, would have always beat him. I'm simply stating what is known to be facts. Toney's kryptonite has always been food and he gets fat rather quickly, that's why the fight with hopkins was never realistic since toney went to LHW
