Much more worn down wtf are you talking about? Tarver was at the pinacle of his career and was coming off two huge wins over Jones a second time, and the 2005 fighter of the year in Glenn Johnson. Why wont you give the man credit?
Also Toney was at cruiserweight when Hopkins was undisputed, and soon went up to HW, how the **** were they supposed to fight in totla different weight divisions.
I Do give him credit but Johnson weas nowhere near what james Toney was when Jones fought him, 2005 fighter of the year or not, Johnson was never ever considered better than the Toney Jones faced. Toney was fighter of the year back then and p4p rated.
The tarver comment was real he put on hella weight for Rocky and was not in great shape for the Hopkins fight.
I love Hopkins but im just saying there are factors that play against him as well in this cause, his wins can be picked apart just like Jones can.
i want the fight period.Last edited by Jone2ts; 08-21-2009, 05:21 PM.Comment

Toney fought at virtually the same weights as Hopkins up until like til the late 90's and hopkins started off at 175, they could have made that fight any time. Both lost to Jones and took forever to get back in the spotlight. Still Toney has stated many times he wanted to fight Hopkins.
The fight wasn't an option.
And hopkins "starting at 175" is silly. The man fought at 175 his first fight in 1988 coming straight out of prison, then didn't fight for 2 years as he trained and learned his craft.Last edited by ИATAS; 08-21-2009, 05:25 PM.Comment

Lol. Man when these two get together it's like a comic stand. The pre fight build up alone would be worth 50 dollars.Comment
