i don't seem to remember pac winning against any WW by KO. in fact, i don't remember pac hurting the dehydrated OLDH
Me too, I don't remember Pac hurting the dehydrated OLDH.. But i remembered Pac hurting ODLH and most probably sensing he would be KOed at 9 rounds, he quitted in his stool! His face by the way looks like a smashed cake icing sprinkled with cheries, and by that, no way we can say he was not hurt. What for his quitting anyway? bored of not hitting the Pac?? hahaha!!! FYI, ODLH was not dehydrated but look like dehydrated and old after stung by Pac power. At his dressing room prior to the fight, he look fresh, energetic, well, and very confident!
They should make the fight at 147 but Roach and Team Pacquiao are crooked mofos who want to weigh drain Cotto. But that will just piss Cotto off more. And you don't want to have Cotto pissed off when you are his opponent...
Cotto gets rid of Pacquiao before the championship rounds.
If 1 or 2 lbs would make Cotto dehydrated and weight drained, then he shouldn't fight Manny at all. Remember that he weighed in 146lbs with Clottey. Furthermore, if Cotto agreed to the 145lbs, then it doesn't make Team pacquiao "crooked mofos", they didn't put a gun to Cotto's head, Cotto could've easily said NO. So no excuses for either fighter.
yup. Alot of people forget about Cottos speed and counter punching....he's not as good as JMM in counter punching but he;s no bum at it either..ask judah and mosley who both thought their speed was gonna rule the fight....u dont even have to see the other guy throwing 1st..just time his movements and u got it..just like a QB throws the ball to a reciever when hes not looking..he knows he'll be there.
Thank you friend. Looks like you are fairly new here like me. A lot of these guys get emotional about their fighters and throw the truth out of the window. Cotto is a really good counter puncher and in recent years he has learned the sweet science. Hell he was fighting beautifully even in the loss to margs. So get ready for plenty of childish insults on here every time you tell it like it is. But keep doing what u doing.
Damn Im gettin emotional so Im gon put you in my top 5 boxing scene friends. hahahahaahahahahahahaha

With much respect to Cotto-Rulez and his opinion & post, I agree with you, rommel.
It was Cotto's choice to make, and i think he did a grand job waving the belt around a bit for some more $. It worked.
Like rommel said. No exuses now. The fight is on for the title @ 145!
May the best man win!
For the first time, Miguel Cotto revealed that his WBO welterweight title will be on the line when he meets Manny Pacquiao on November 14 at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. Previously, everyone but Cotto would confirm that the welterweight would be at stake at the catch-weight of 145-pounds. Cotto plans to use his physical size and strenght advantage in the fight to exploit Pacquiao. [details]
see cotto stans... even cotto is counting on his 10+ lbs advantage.

What it comes down to is Pac has the bigger name right now, and tried to make some rules that he felt would benefit him by fighting for a belt that normally is fought for at 147.
He felt it would be easier for him to "make history if he has the rules bent for him" and had the pull to basically pull it off.
Now as a Cotto fan I really don't care because in the end Pac is ******** with the wrong Puerto Rican and will not make history against Cotto.
But let's say he does...I say put an Asterisk in the record books under the weight he won in saying *the WBO rules were changed for this fight and this fight only*.
