He's one of the best welterweights out there. In my opinion he beat Cotto.

Lmao, my whole family is from Gary, Indiana. So I here it all the time. Clottey could be a beast but he is to nice. I remember after the weigh in for the Cotto fight, he wanted to huge Cotto. I was thinking to myself what the ****. Cotto looks like he wants to kill him and Clottey wants to huge his ass

Yeah! Wow, I used to go to Indiana all the time back in the day (Indiana Dunes...I think that's how you spell it), but I agree Cotto does have a mean face on him...probably why some peepz don't like him.

Small world my man. I use to go to Chicago, Gary, and Meriville all the time in the summer. I been in Vegas since I was 8. But when you work, have a wife, and daughter you can do all those things anymore.

*Wrong. He officially beat Clottey, and i rewatched and scored that fight 3x's as objectivly as i can. Each time i had it 114-113 Cotto. Most agree. All the officials and even commentators argee.
The last 2 rounds could have been his, but he didn't dig down and close it. Yeah, the 116-111 or whatever card...that judge should have been trown in the ring.
He has the making to be an elite, but needs to work harder for it.

But you are right...he's a great fighter. Most avoid him. Definatly a force to be reckoned with.

A- to B+. Dude is Close always. The Balo***** fight was a BS DQ, The Margarito fight the injury and the Cotto fight he lacked the toughness in the end to grind it out.

I rate him as an above fighter. Granite chin, good boxing ability, and good power. He's a well rounded fighter.

Though I think that is his problem, he is too well rounded, he just doesn't stand out. I'd give him a good chance against any welterweight but to me he lacks a defining trait.

Tell me about it man! I got to find a way to get rid of them so I can catch some fights in Vegas though...LMAO
