How do you rate Joshua Clottey?

Quartey gave De La Hoya a hard fight does that mean they were on the same level or that De La Hoya was below him? Cotto is an A class fighter that had to fight a top WW with one eye. Cotto is an elite A class fighter. Clottey is B class fighhter who can give any of the elite fighters a run for their money.Last edited by Mayweather Sr; 08-20-2009, 05:34 PM.Comment

Overrated big time. The Cotto fans want you to think he is great because Cotto went life and death with him. The guy couldn't put away a blown up Corrales. And to be honest with you, I think JMM and Pacquiao could beat Clottey regardless of weight. Those two guys would've knocked out Corrales that night. And if Clottey couldn't hurt those two guys, how could he win when he doesn't have the work rate required to to make up for his lack of power. The only top fighter at 147 I think Clottey could beat is Berto. But I don't really consider Berto a top fighter so to each their own.
Clottey also would've quit on his stool against Margarito if his corner hadn't convinced him to come out for that round. Margarito beat Clottey a lot more convincingly than Cotto did.Comment

I won't argue about your other points, but one thing I wanted to say is that I thought Clottey was a beast before the Cotto fight.Overrated big time.
