MMA may come under more scrutiny because of it's past history and the fact that people still don't understand it, but I doubt it will go down the ****ter.
For sure inevitable. No body wants it to happen but it will unfortunately.

The very first sentence you said is a lie. Assuming the fighters enter the fight with a clear bill of health, most if not all of the deaths in a boxing ring happen in 2 circumstances: Fighter is dehydrated or Fighter has been taking a severe beating or a combination of both. Dehydration causes high brain pressure and lack of fluid in the brain, which is a fatal combination when you are being punched in the head repetitively. Taking excessive punches to the head is self-explanatory.
In the UFC the chances of this happening are close to none. Being weight drained is not all that useful as you will be taken down (i don't care to explain this to the dummies but it has to do with reaction times and some of you won't fully understand... it's too long!) and taking a severe beating is even less likely as most hard punches will just KO you and even if you just get KD there's a 90% chance the ref will stop it. In other words, heart will only carry you as far as your chin takes you.

As many bums as there are in the MMA it will be easy for one of them to be killed by even a punch. You had to have seen how easliy that Griffith guy was knocked out with a little jab, what do you think a punch straight to the temple from a heavyweight would do. It takes a elite person to survive and make it in combat sports like boxing and only certain people can do it. That why pretty much all the boxers that die are guys you never heard of because they are part time ****ty fighters who should never be in the ring anyway, and MMA is full of them. The chances of a death are 100%

See this is how I see it going down....the second a man (worst if it's a woman) dies either in the ring (highly unlikely but very possible) or out side the ring after a fight in which they took a bad beating...(Ala Bisping vs Henderson) there is going to be an out cry of people (the same people that blame music and movies for deaths and so on and so forth) these loones are going to contact a congressman or some **** and this dip **** is going to see this "cause" as one to get his name in the paper and will make it a fwuaken federal case or some **** like that....

Then the UFC is really gonna feel the heat...but as with everything else it's probably going to make it more popular....

Good thing you can't die from blue balls or the UFC fans and fighters would be in serious trouble.

Do none of you folks watch the news? Every year a handful of folks die from boxing ring-related injuries. Recently there have been MMA cage/ring related deaths too

MMA fighter Vasquez dies weeks after fight

P.E.I. MMA fighter dies after sparring

I think it will happen eventually... I mean I read what a user in this thread posted about 4 deaths from injuries from the fights.
