I don't think there is any question that Dawson would have gone to sleep from that.
    Correct.

I just don't see how any real RJJ fan would NOT be excited about the possibility of RJJ vs. Dawson. I think it's a winnable fight for Roy. Again, I wouldn't favor Roy, but he would have a good shot at beating Chad.

So ***in what RJJ beat a faded Jeff Lacy. Put him in there with Chad Dawson and see what happens.

cause dawson isn't a shot blown up supermiddle who smothers himself and has no boxing ability like roy's last couple opponents.

I believe Jim strickland was his trainer(well judging from the ****ty stream). Jim is a very experienced cutman and trainer, I don't understand why he wouldn't apply any ice or at least te enswell to his fighter's face. It don't make no sense.

so Joe calzaghe is shot, blown up and has no boxing abillity? I believe big roy is turning Roy around, roy is using more fundamentals now which is good.

RJ definitely went back to the jab....one thing, though, he was able to lay in on the ropes in a relaxed mode and draw Jeff into a lot of punches, Jeff had no choice but to push the fight, to try an dmake something happen against the ropes...that wont happen with Chad...not that he cant possibly beat Chad another way...but it wont be by laying on the ropes and picking his shots. no way

Now it is what it is. Jeff is obviously past his prime but he is still Jeff Lacy....no one has ever done that to him before, not even Calzaghe...I dont care if a guy is "shot" he can still punch hard if thats what he does...Jeff's POWER didnt leave him...and Roy is much older anyway than Jeff is...has had a TON more fights and was stopped twice, one of them a VICIOUS KO...so he has a ton more miles on him than Jeff does...to look as good as he did last night, even if u hate him, that's impressive, man...

Yea, definitely..but at the same time... its also HOW a guy gets the job done...I mean, an untalented guy could fight a lesser opponent and win but not look awesome in the way he does it, in the way he throws his punches, etc etc...in other words, there are many contender level guys who would have fought Jeff Lacy on Saturday and either not beaten him or if they did would have looked NOTHING close to the level of spectacular that Jones did...
