    If...

I think this... if Jones was 22 years old and someone never saw him before, he was a new up and comer who fought Lacy last night in a step up fight... and fought exactly as he did last night with the blistering hooks, the confidence, the ability to relax under fire, the BODY SHOTS, the ring intelligence, etc etc etc...they would say "by the time that kids career is over, he will be the greatest fighter ever." Now it is what it is. Jeff is obviously past his prime but he is still Jeff Lacy....no one has ever done that to him before, not even Calzaghe...I dont care if a guy is "shot" he can still punch hard if thats what he does...Jeff's POWER didnt leave him...and Roy is much older anyway than Jeff is...has had a TON more fights and was stopped twice, one of them a VICIOUS KO...so he has a ton more miles on him than Jeff does...to look as good as he did last night, even if u hate him, that's impressive, man...

Roy Jones impressed me last night. His hand speed was amazing.

I agree, impressive, but understand that Jeff was not elite quality after the beating he got from Joe Calzaghe. And while Roy look superb in every aspect if both were in their respective primes I’d still see the same outcome because of Lacy’s difficulty to adapting to other fighters styles. No knock against Roy mind you, he did his thing, just another angle of observation on my part.

      Peace.

I was hyped during that fight. I haven't jumped around like that since Mosley beat Margo. Roy looked so good last night. I just wished he had his legs back. I do believe he can beat them all right now besides Dawson and maybe Hop. I believe he will beat Tarver and Johnson. He just needs to let his hands go

Yeah he looked impressive but once he fights someone like Glen Johnson, the past his prime Roy Jones will show up

but yeah if it was the first time I've seen Roy and he was a 22 year old I would say the same.

Glenn Johnson is past his prime too so it kinda cancels each other out.
