Mayweather messed him up mentally. Before that he was undefeated and he was used to knocking people out, then his first loss is a hard knock out loss. They say when your knocked out you never react to punches the same afterwards. I really think hes just not mentally there anymore to compete and the top level of competition, and Manny definitely made it way worse but I think it is Mayweather who caused it all.
Hatton admit it It was manny who destroyed him not Mayweather

Ricky ruined himself with his lifestyle of binging, and blowing up between fights, and failing to employ much defense throughout his career. He has taken alot of punches, and wrecked his body with the yo-yo of his weight. **** will catch you eventually.Comment

How did Mayweather destroy Hatton exactly?
Hatton made millions in that fight, and that fight opened up doors for bigger money fights.
Is is coincidence that Hatton's biggest money fights came with and after the Mayweather fight?
* Lazcano - 55,000 sell out in Manchester.
* Malignaggi - High reward/low risk fight in the MGM Grand.
* Pacquiao - Another super fight and huge payday in the MGM Grand.
Hatton's a clever bastard. Mayweather didn't destroy anything. He made Hatton's career better.Comment

When Hatton fought Collazo and Mayweather he moved up in weight giving away his advantages at 140 his comfort zone. He fought them who are naturally bigger than him but he still won in Collazo fight and won some rounds in Mayweather fight. In these fights, physically he was the smaller man and mentally he maybe thinking thats the real reason why lost in Mayweather fight. To the testament of that, he won his last 2 fights at 140. In Pacquiao's fight, he's very confident because he is undefeated at 140 and he was the bigger man but he almost died there in just 2 rounds and completely outclassed by he supposed the smaller man. These kind of things will ruined most fighter mentally and physically then Hatton just admitted that.Mayweather messed him up mentally. This is absolutely idiotic..
Hatton, for all his faults, was rated top 10 p4p, was undefeated, and had all the confidence in the world.
It doesn't matter that Mayweather didn't "destroy" him - Hatton had been hurt but his chin and confidence had NEVER been cracked.
Once you lose that first fight in such a big stage and devastating fashion, your mind isn't the same and those doubts start to creep in.
That's the only reason why Pacman could take him out so easily, he was better than Hatton but didn't you see the Hatton that fought Tszyu and Mayweather that took all those flush shots yet kept on coming like the warrior he is? He wasn't in there.
Nothing personal, but "Pacman destroyed Hatton" is a fanboy myth..Last edited by Majority_Draw; 08-16-2009, 09:42 PM.Comment

There is the big difference when you lost for the first time to the suppose bigger and better fighter out of your comfort zone that most people thought that he will lost anyway than almost died in just 2 rounds to the supposed smaller man in your undefeated own comfort zone. Hatton just admitted that.Comment
