punishment from precise and accurate punches is what takes reflexes away from fighters and gives brain damage. not one KO blow.

punch drunkness comes more from sustained punishment not a KO punch.

sorry but Hatton was brutally beaten by May.

Pac just KO'ed hatton. props to Pac. but if i had to take a beating. i would much rather get KO'd by one blow than savagely beaten for 30mins

whatever. Collazo softened Hatton's chin, Mayweather capitalized, Pac got the last gasp. At this point, Hatton should not think about setting foot in a ring against the very best. if he wants to fight again he's going to have to settle for a no name.

I believe it was round 8 when Floyd unleashed a combo that looked so good. Hatton could move or do ****. I believe Floyd through 4 body shots, then a jab to the midsection, and right after that a straight right to head. One of the best I've ever seen. I can't lie about that. Hatton looked hopeless

You're probably correct, though - taking lead rights, left hooks, plus uppercuts and bodypunches inside for 30 minutes until he was systematically broken down and put on his back sleepy for the first time in his career likely did nothing to deplete Hatton's reserves.

Why are you trying to educate some people on NSB??? No point too many ******s on here.

Yeah a left hook while Hatton was running in. He hit his head on the ring post. After he got back up Floyd went for the kill until Cortez stopped it.

Hatton has probably had the 2 crazy looking KO's happen to him in PPV history

The 2 rounds he took were one early round he won on his bustle and one mid round Mayweather took off. Hatton won them on workrate, but was completely ineffectual as far as making any of that aggression count in the form of cracking Floyd's defence.

And you're right, Ray. I'll stop now.

i didnt see hatton win any rounds. i dont look at things on the surace only. i saw what May did to hattons body when in hattons guard.

people like you didnt see the **** Lay does b/c hes so illusive.

but many of us saw what he did in hattons guard. hatton took alot of body punishment from the opening bell

just the same way i didnt see May's fight wtih DLH being close. people thought alot of DLHs punches landed when they didnt.

yes DLh had something going when he was hitting May with his jab but may figured that problem out and took his jab away. the flurries missed. it wasnt a close fight either

Yeah, I loved it when Floyd Ko him. I used to be a big time Floyd fan, and it's no accident he had a perfect record. His skills were awesome. Very smart boxer. I just was really dissapointed he retired so soon.
                      1. Because i wanted to continue to watch him box.
                      2. I was a little dissapointed he became such a defensive fighter later in his career when i would have liked to see him stand toe-to-toe.

A previous poster said more damage is done when fights last longer...good point. Rather get knocked out quick than take punshment longer...i would agree in a street fight, but in the ring, i think it's a different story. If i was him, I would like to be seen as being able to last awhile giving it everything i had, and THEN lose, even though i took a hell of a beating, at least i could say to myself, hey i gave him a pretty hard time, even though he beat me good, I can take it as well as dish it out.

Manny just did a tasmanian devil on him and rocked his world big time. Quick, too. I'm looking forward to watching Floyd fight again. I'm really glad he came out of retirement. We'll see what Ricky does next. Personally i don't think he should fight anymore. Between Callazo, Floyd and Manny, they ruined his confidence. My 2¢.
