please believe. if Pac wins against cotto meaning he will face may. May is going to punish and embarass PacYeah, I loved it when Floyd Ko him. I used to be a big time Floyd fan, and it's no accident he had a perfect record. His skills were awesome. Very smart boxer. I just was really dissapointed he retired so soon.
1. Because i wanted to continue to watch him box.
2. I was a little dissapointed he became such a defensive fighter later in his career when i would have liked to see him stand toe-to-toe.
A previous poster said more damage is done when fights last longer...good point. Rather get knocked out quick than take punshment longer...i would agree in a street fight, but in the ring, i think it's a different story. If i was him, I would like to be seen as being able to last awhile giving it everything i had, and THEN lose, even though i took a hell of a beating, at least i could say to myself, hey i gave him a pretty hard time, even though he beat me good, I can take it as well as dish it out.
Manny just did a tasmanian devil on him and rocked his world big time. Quick, too. I'm looking forward to watching Floyd fight again. I'm really glad he came out of retirement. We'll see what Ricky does next. Personally i don't think he should fight anymore. Between Callazo, Floyd and Manny, they ruined his confidence. My 2¢.

I've been watching boxing for 40 years, am older with a not so great memory, and i joined this forum so I can learn more about boxing, fighters and fights from people like you and others, so i hope you aren't reffering to me as being ******ed.
Let's keep it civil, please.
No comment....lol. Never been much of a Hatton fan.Yeah a left hook while Hatton was running in. He hit his head on the ring post. After he got back up Floyd went for the kill until Cortez stopped it.
Ok, now i remember the fight more... yeah, i remember that shot and ricky hitting the post...dam. and i remember Floyd doing more than i previously remembered, ( the fight was awhile ago-bad memory)
Hatton has probably had the 2 crazy looking KO's happen to him in PPV history
I think i pretty much agree with you that Floyd would win. He's a fast smart fighter that I think has Manny beat in the speed and power dept's. But Manny has given me reason to not underestimate him. He's got that killer instinct and goes into a frenzy with that love of his to battle hard. It would be a really exciting fight to watch. We will see who wins the Cotto-Pac fight. What do you think if Cotto wins and faces Floyd?Last edited by jazluvr; 08-16-2009, 03:26 PM.Comment

I wouldn't say his loss to Mayweather ruined his career... but I don't think it helped either, its kinda hard to explain... like Mayweather beat him pretty badly and you could see it affected him after that... he still wasn't quite the same fighter... but he still didn't ruin Hatton's career by any means...
This aint taking the Pacquiao win away from Pacman, I give Pacquiao full credit... Hatton was unbeaten at 140 so obviously was confident... Pacquiao beat Hatton more convincingly IMO and that is that.
So like I said, I don't think Floyd ruined his career so to speak, but it didn't help either, like it knocked his confidence down a bit and put a pretty big 'dent' on him as a fighter.
This is just me being fair by the way, I aint saying Mayweather ruined him cause I don't think he did... but that doesn't take away the fact that everyone still needs to admit that the loss did have some kind of bad effect on Hatton.Comment
