When your last 6 fights are Sosa, N'dou, Corley, Bruseles, Gatti and Mitchell, how can there be any doubt he is the best.

Nobody else has such an impressive resume and willingness to challenge the best every time in the ring.

Perhaps add a few more notches, say Corey Spinks and Mayorga, and it's a sure thing - best ever.

To be the greatest in boxing Mayweather must enter the world of politics like Ali and Maradona (soccer player). That way he will for sure will be the greatest.

Make something wild like stop war in Iraq or something like that.

Even if Mayweather beat everyone by a mile, the whole argument about who is the all time greatest will never be concluded, when fighters like Robinson or some incredible smaller fighters were never filmed at thier best.
o shut up..frazier was tailor made for ali..and foreman got tired..that was far from a knockout in the FOREMAN fight that was exhaustion

Ali's tactics and right hand put Foreman on the canvas. That counts as a KO in my book.

And no, Floyd ain't the greatest. Lets see him lose and see if he can come back. A truly great fighter should be able to overcome defeat and comeback as dangerous as ever. Somtimes when an undefeated guy loses, he becomes mentally shot. And a weak minded fighter ain't a great fighter.

actully, fraizer is the exact opposite from tailor made for ali.
if anything, ali was tailor made for fraizer. fraizer's bob and wave style, along with his crablig defense gave floyd all sorts of problems by taking away his jab and straight right hands. ken norton was similar to fraizer, which is why ali had such problems with him

Exactly. Ali struggled with Fraziers style. Liston was a fighter tailor made for Ali, both mentally and in fight style.

                Mayweather

First, if we're talking about the greatest fighter ever...we're talking about Sugar Ray Robinson...not Ali. Any comparison of Floyd being the greatest ever will have to be along those lines...and quite frankly, Mayweather is the ONLY fighter in the past 50 years that can be compared to Ray's...technical genious and supernatural talent. Like Robinson, Mayweather is an in fighter, an out fighter, a defenisve fighter, an offensive fighter...plain and simple, he's a fighter, there are only two questions to be answered about him...can he take a big punch and does he have the lion heart of a Ray Robinson, right now, he's so dam good no one can even begin to make him answer these questions....he's going to destroy Juda, Cotto, Hatton just like he did Corrales.

Mayweather has all the tools. I think when he's finished, he will be ranked as one of the top 3 fighters ever. He's that good.

I've never been a big Mayweather supporter, but he is a treasure to watch. That's boxing on a different level than anyone in the world can deliver right now.

And you have to give floyd the corrales performance that was just great.
and robinson lost many fights and was dropped often. he wasnt even close to perfect. can you imagine floyd vs lamotta??
it would be similar to floyd vs gatti, just floyd totally outclassing his opponents

IF..and this is a HUGE, HUMONGOUS IF...IF he beats Hatton, DLH, Mosely, Cotto, Margarito and even Winky maybe...on top of retiring undefeated..then yea, he WILL be considered the Greatest in my eyes...no questions asked...becuz at the end of that debate all you can say is.... check his record....
