    Purely Hypothetical

    Lets say:

    Mayweather were to:

    fight and beat Tszyu.
    mandatory
    tune up
    fight and beat DLH.
    Opponent
    fight and beat Judah.
    Tune up
    fight and beat Mosley.

Loses a fight. Starts slowing down in his career. Comes back and fights a couple of mandatories.

Then Challenges for the Middleweight title, and wins it.

Could he be the best that ever lived?

Lebron James has a shot to be better then Michael Jordan but it will must likly NOT happen.

Why? Because the better ERA Michael competed in AND Michael was a damn machine. The most focus athlete I've ever seen period.

Look at a fighter like Ray Leonard, a short career but look at who he defeated...GREAT GREAT fighters. Floyd would need to beat a PRIME and some GREAT fighters...he's only really beaten good fighters. The guy for christ sakes hasn't fought anybody good in 3 years...Floyd falls in the same boat of a Roy Jones jr.

He may be a waste of talent if anything.

The problem is that there are no great fighters for him to fight.

Eeryone with unbeaten record and good resume may be the greatest. The only prove is to stop talking and keep fighting - not the most convenient but the most challenging.

if you compare mayweather to sugar ray robinson
                  then u should be banned
                  i disagree
they are very comparable in terms of skill. they are similar fighters. that being said, floyd needs to accomplish alot more before he is considered one of the best ever

i also think that if floyd retires right now,(which if he does i will hate him) he is hof.

he is a champion the three weight divisions and was p4p number one. think about that

The problem is that if there where great fighters like you guys say, I dont think he would fight them. He is having problems making fights with, hatton, cotto to name some. I hope that I am wrong on this cuz i like FMJ, but unless he steps up the oposition like someone said earlier he will going the same path as others...
