you know what WILL be intersting; which one sells more in Britain (assuming both are Sky PPVs)

I'm not convinced Pacquiao is more popular or known amongst casual fans at all. Just compare Mayweather-Hatton and Pacquiao-Hatton numbers over here

As we know Mayweather believes he deserves more money and frequently cites his sales for reasoning. As everyone has pointed out he is likely not to outsell Pacquiao. Which means the plot really thickens regarding getting a May/Pac fight signed on how the split will look.

Firstly, these two guys have 2 dangerous opponent in front of them so talking about who gets what at this stage is a bit disrespectful to Cotto and JMM.

Secondly, the outcome of these two PPV would have NO bearing on who gets what and whether Mayweather think he deserves more or not he would end up getting what he is suppose to get if the fight ever happens.

In boxing it takes two to tango and its easy to point the finger at Mayweather because of his mouth/persona oppose to pacman who is quiet and reserve but the facts are when the Mayweather/Hatton fight was negiotated NOBODY fought over money, When the Mayweather/De la hoya was negiotated NOBODY fought over money or weight or gloves or ring...Now when the Pacquiao/De la hoya and pacquiao/Hatton was negiotated the money was an issue/problem in both negotation.....

So please tell me how this is suppose to be a problem from the Mayweather side and not pacquiao side especially with Arum involve????

What were the #s for those fights in britain? I do see a lot of big PBF fans from Britain on this site.. Seems like more than there are Pac fans from there.

It's definitely going to also be on the PBF side. He pretty openly dislikes Arum, and from the releases I've heard, Arum always takes an opportunity to jab at PBF. So there is some genuine bad blood there it seems. Not just the usual lets hype up a non existent beef. Two big egos that sincerely don't like one another both with legitimate leverage. I think it's definitely false to suggest difficulty with Mayweather/Pacquiao negotiations are all going to be the fault of the Top Rank side. Secondly, the outcome of these two fights will definitely have an outcome on the negotiations for a PBF/Pac fight. That should go without saying.

If you think the fight gets just over 400K then don't act like just over 500K is crazy. Maybe everyone's right though.. I think PBF is going to be one of those events where casual fans begin asking one another where they are watching the Mayweather fight.. PBF knows this fight isn't exactly mouth watering, so expect him to pull out all the stops in promotion and on 24/7. That includes ridiculous behavior like glorifying Roger's drama with the assault if he has too.. But then again maybe this will just be a relative flop.

It would suck if Dana White used PBF's #s as a way to discredit the progress of boxing.

I never suggest any difficulty in negotiation between the two would solely come from the Pacquiao camp, You were suggesting that Mayweather would have issues when it comes to money when its time to negotiate for the fight.

And all i did was to present to you how Pacquiao has had problems with money/split issues with common opponents, When Mayweather never did...Like i said before it takes two to tango and whether the PBF/JMM did less than Pac/Cotto it wouldnt affect what either of them would get.

We all know Pac/Cotto would sell more than PBF/JMM but its how they both did with common opponents that would determine more than anything else...
