As much as Mayweather and Arum don't love eachother, it's hard to imagine this fight getting made.

When did the brainwashing ocurr exactly. The second this fight was announced fans were calling absolute BS.. I don't necessarily think it's a ridiculous fight but I think they definitely matchup in a way that favors Mayweather. We don't even know if JMM's power carries up to such a high weight.

indeed it does favour Mayweather, and falls into the cherrypicking category; that is it was a very calculated and opportunistic choice of opponent

but "absolute BS" from a pugilistic perspective? I think not. It'll be a great fight for us purists

I agree, and Bert Sugar seemed to have a similar reaction. He cited a ton of great fights that today's keyboard fans would likely have torn up had they been ocurring presently that turned out to be great battles. A lot of people write Sugar off as a bit of an old cook but a lot of his predictions are spot on. He picked Margarito over Cotto with confidence like no others who made the same prediction. I remember it creeping me out a little since at the time I was so confident in a Cotto win. At the end of the day, we're probably pretty out of touch with what general public/casual boxing fan really thinks. They might not know much about JMM and automatically consider him very very live against PBF.. Especially after a 24/7 which will likely leave a lot of fans confused or atleast with less conviction regarding the result.

I honestly think PBF/JMM will edge 500K slightly. Maybe I've just been fooled by all money mayweather's cash cow hype.

Poor British fan.. Have never seen such a lobsided poll where someone was left solo on the losing side.
