Floyd is not that smart to pull all that off. You're giving him too much credit.

The only SMART thing he does is knowing that his douchebaggery ways will get him paid if he uses them during promotional tours/press-conf's once the fight is signed.

    That's where it ends.

I meant is entourage who are all filipinoes....not roach or arum.

Floyd is smarter than most boxing managers and fighters out there. You think he would go to Indonesia to fight Chris John for 30K? I didn't think so.

This is why he is the smartest man in boxing, even you believe he is just dumb and loud, while you are awaiting the result of his fight against JMM or if he will ever fight PAC, both fighters who fight a division lower than him. I bet you can't wait to see his ass get kicked? It's all marketing strategy.

Possibly. But he's still the only one doing it successfully. I think Floyd has to be the most hated fighter out there today. Pac gets hated on in forums because of his pachuggers and the same with Cotto, ODLH, Hatton and Calzaghe. With Floyd, fans don't really like him personally because of the way he has presented himself in the media.

It's all an act. Watch his post fight conferences and see how much praise he showers his opponents after taunting and badmouthing them for more than 3 months, sometimes for years. Duran would never do that. He disrespected his opponents before, during and after the fight. If he hates, he hates you. There is no act involved.

floyd is not a marketing genius.... floyd tries to keep it real. the fakest I've seen floyd was during WWE and dancing w/ the stars.

pac is not surrounded by yes men, in his team atleast. pac wanted to go vacationing and arum told him to get to NYC. guess what happened?

floyd praises his opponents afterward so that his victory over them looks even better.

The smartest thing Floyd could do was get away from Bob Arum.

He runs his own show now in partnership with GBP.

Smart enough to be part of the highest grossing fight in history.

It remains to be seen if his Hit List will pan out as promised.

Negotiations will be the only detriment to him fighting the guys the fans want to see him fight.

I think Shane will be the easiest to negotiate with if the fight with Pac can't be made.

Arum will be tough to deal with on Pac and Cotto.
