This man is a marketing genius. He knew that if he didn't play the heel, no one would watch his fights. He took to the part like fish to water and has never looked back. He is actually a professional inside the ring and very gracious in post fight conferences.

His act is unique and generates alot of interest in his fights. Half of the people who bought his fights probably wanted to see him lose and ko'd. And the more he keeps winning, the more fans want to see him lose. Brillant.

PBF is the smartest man in boxing.

I always said from the beginning that it was a brilliant idea, but at the end of the day he just chooses not to test himself against the best.

Love him as a fighter, not so much with his selection of competition in the last 3 yrs (aka his peak).

That's the only thing that I don't like about Floyd but that is also the reason he is the smartest man in boxing.

The unfortunate part is that I think he can beat anyone put in front of him. He is that talented and smart.

Another fighter comes to mind....Cassius Clay. But his hands cashed the checks his mouth wrote...can we say the same about Floyd?
He can't keep the "villain" act up for another 5 fights and not fight challenge a legit WW.

PBF is far from the smartest man in boxing....if that is the case....David Haye is the 2nd smartest man in boxing.

If you look at most of the popular fighters in the last 20-30 years, they all had an aura about them. Sugar Ray had it, Tyson had it, Oscar had it.

Floyd didn't play the good guy role well, but when he started trash talking and being obnoxious, but was able to back it up in the ring...that's when he found his nitch.

My only complaint has been he hasn't taken the true challenges that would heavily back up the notion that Floyd is indeed the best today. There's 2 or 3 fighters that legitimately can claim that spot until he fights them (which is what I want to see).

I hated him on 24/7 shows so he accomplish what he wanted, I like him as a fighter.

pbf's "money" persona is good for boxing, but bad for floyd.

floyd wants to be the hero so bad and can't understand why people don't like him.
