"Some people have been critical of Cotto for not being a fan-friendly fighter on the streets - like Trinidad"

This is exactly what I've said for over a year, since I met Cotto. Tito - nicest guy ever, Cotto - biggest **** ever. Cotto is such a **** that I get pissed when my friends root for him.
cotto aint a ****, he just isnt a people person, not every boxer has a big personality, and quite frankly, he doesnt have to be all cheery an **** if he dont want, he gives exciting fights, thats his job.

Yeah and people should not look to become better? Dude that is ****ed up. Cotto probably doesn't feel he is a celebrity. He is a normal perspon like everyone else.
That right there is idiotic. if Arum pays **** the fans, right? why they need to go to arenas or buy PPvs when he fights? If Arum if the one who pays?Fans pay to see him fight. So they/us pay his salary. Dont be foolish!!!!!

He dont have to be a celebrity not all, but he needs to twist his personality tors the fans, period. They/us pay him to ****ing fight.

And when you get to teh stage of teh mega fights even more so. If he doenst like to atleast be friendly he chose the wrong sport!!!!!!

This is not like baseball or basketball that people pay to see a team, here they pay to see a idividual guy, wich in this case is him.

And Cotto does pay them back by putting on a show. They don't pay for Cotto to smile and say thank you. They pay to see him fight and he delivers.

Change his personality? What kind of crap is that? Let him be who he wants to be. No one should tell anyone to change the way they are, peroid. People pay to see him fight.

WTF? You crazy. What is with this friendly crap? Boxing is about ****ing fighting not about being friendly.

Yeah they pay to se him fight. Not to smile and sign **** on his free time.

It wasn't and usually you see these claims from Margarito fans trying to justify his actions.

Exactly, I watch Cotto because I like the way he kicks the crap out of people not to see him yell Puerto Rico every five seconds and cover himself from head to toe in puertorican flags.

As much as I liked Tito I really hated to see him do anything but fight, his post fight interviews where the worst ever, he came up as dumb and uneducated. People liked his happy go lucky personality, I didn't.

Some people just don't like to be bothered, they are low key and if I was in Cotto's position I would be the exact same way.

I have seen Cotto many times talking to a lot of people, the press and always behave very polite. You do not have to be a clown at all the time like Tito Trinidad, if people do not like Cotto, do not pay his PPV, do not watch his fight everywhere that he fight and do not watch his fight in HBO. Otherwise shut the hell up and do not speak any more trash about him.

Will and Hopkins. How is that reaching a new level. Not to mention that he's had only 5 fights since then and that was way back in 2005.
When i mention new level it was regarding his name not his career. If Winky would had not fought Tito he would had not been atractive enough to face the fighter you mentioned. I agree with you that his career turn out to be lest than expected but the biggest highlight of his career was his victory over Felix.
