In boxing there is no such thing as a sure thing, people should always remember that. Anything is possible in boxing, that is waht makes it a great sport.

IF margaritos chin wasnt freakishly strong he wouldnt have been in the ring too long. the way he was takin shots.

Even though its debated I think the only reason margarito dug sooo deep to pull of the win and take so much damage was the fact he knew he had an edge with the loaded gloves
Why are you comparing Floyd and Margarito though, Floyd would never get hit with those shots like Margarito. The fights would be completely different.

I think that Floyd would win but the Margarito fight plays a very minimal role in that thinking, and really only on the mental side of things (and that is a big question mark because the fights would be so different that I doubt that those thoughts would really creep into his head).

I have no doubt in my mind that Mayweather would make cotto quit!!
Cotto saw what Mayweather did to his best friend...

Whats change in cotto style since 2006? When he wasnt ready for Mayweather and people were calling him green?

        he still
        1. Swings wide,
        2. Waste Punches,
        3. has a weak chin
        4. Cant stop straight right hands or uppercuts,
        5. and is under progressing in the lateral movement department.

and this is when he said he was still green....????
what did he improve??? to say
"Cotto is the toughest fight for floyd stylistically" ...what did he improve..?

Cotto has always had a good jab, cotto has always had good speed....Cotto is a good fighter...real good...he is a good body puncher and works hard..
        so that hasnt change...

so what change so much that he is now ready to beat a fighter like mayweather...?

****, Cotto is an undedog to Pacquiao..
even after a 2 year layoff I bet Vegas and boxing would not make Mayweather a underdog to pacquiao

Definitely, it would be quite boring if things happened according to script every time out.

I've always given Cotto the best chance of beating Floyd at or around 147. I would favor Floyd, but Cotto would be a live wire in my opinion. We'll see how he deals with Pacquiao's speed and get a better idea shortly.

He must have improved somewhat since than, because since that time he has fought and beat better fighters at 147 than Floyd. Thats not even the point though. This fight should have and should happen for the fans. Fighter shouldn't skip fights because they think they're better. Fight and prove it.

                  That's, what I'm saying..

When was the last time Mayweather fought a fighter that hits as hard as Cotto?

Mayweather/Pacboy/Marquez, none of them have what it takes to break Cotto down..

                    What's up Jab..

                    question:
                    1. What did Cotto improved?
                    2. Why is he a underdog against Pacquiao?
