Joe would certainly have beaten Sanderline Williams (who lost five of six fights and then had a draw with Toney!), and may have beaten McCallum as well.

Calzaghe > Toney, without a doubt.
Simple Yes or No....Would Joe Calzaghe go through Toney's resume undefeated?

There can be no possible debate about this.

I really think Toney is better overall, but he's an underachiever, his career was shadowed by robberies and his current physical shape. On the other hand Joe had a barely perfect career and despite that a lot of people discredit him I think he's great.

All Toney's opponents from middleweight to light heavyweight? Yes, except for Roy Jones.

Joe would probably have lost to prime Roy, so he would have ONE loss.

Do you think Joe would have gotten through the fight with Ruiz? I mean I have no doubt that he could UD Ruiz, but when he stepped across the pond he was put down by B-hop and Jones both past their primes and both not HWs.

You think Joe can beat Mike McCallum? Or Michael Nunn? I personally think Mike can beat Joe.

No way Joe beats Holyfield, Ruiz or Vasilly F'N Jirov!

I'm not too sure about Montell Griffin, or Michael Nunn either.

Toney is a 3 weight class champ

Toney has had 80 fights vs some of the best comp of this era across 5 weight classes

                    Toney has much better skills

Toney is a 5''9/10 dude who competes with heavyweights

Toney is defensive and technical but exciting and talks a lot of trash

But that said, toney is american so its too close to call
When? Against Roy a prime on fire roy (who calzaghe wouldnt even have gotten into the ring with) used his speed advantage brilliantly and soundly defeated james, but he didnt "school" him

Toney is probably top 10 or 20 all time as far as pure skills go, the man knows more about boxing than probably anyone else alive.

Theres a reason Joe never lost. He was a very good fighter but he didnt fight the best , theres about zero chance that he would have fought james in his prime
