Botha was a HW Champion for a short time but got stripped because of a positive steroid test then lost a close decision to another Champion at the time, Moorer in his next fight.

I've covered the MMA live from press row(boxing mag), quite a few times, since I'm admittedly not the biggest MMA fan, but I wanted to be open minded. Unfortunately the MMA is not my cup of tea, I guess the ground game is okay if you're into that type of stuff, to me looked like two dudes being mantastic with each other. MMA should be kept to a ground game, because watching the stand up game is painful and I'm talking about emotionally.

I think it's possible for a boxer to be successful in MMA as long as he understands that he can't limit himself to just boxing. Think Machida and Karate.

A great MMA fighter beats a great boxer in a street fight though.
Always cool to see people who appreciate both sports.

Silva just did boxing on the side for awhile but that was never really his thing.Hes a Black Belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu under Antônio Rodrigo Nogueira who follows Gracie Lineage. He's the current UFC Middleweight Champion and holds the record for the longest winning streak of 9 straight wins in the UFC, Trains With UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Lyoto Machida through Black House, ranked number one middleweight in the world by multiple MMA publications and top p4p in other words Roy Jones would get destroyed in the cage.

It will be an interesting boxing match between anderson silva and Roy Jones. The big edge still goes to jones though.

They are talking about a boxing match not MMA. Anderson Silva has no chance whatsoever against Roy in a boxing match. I'd pick a journeyman to beat up Silva easily in a boxing match.

Interesting? Hell NO...it would be a complete mismatch. Silva wouldn't last very long

No, he beat Tim Sylvia, totally different guy. Anderson Silva is the UFC Middleweight Champion, but I (like almost everyone) think he will lose a boxing match to RJJ.
