So why are you guys taking it out on Pacquiao? WBC made the offer, why wouldn't he take it and does it really matter what belt or title is it in the first place, especially if many of you think that belts or titles don't mean anything. As long as it is fair for Cotto in terms of the weight and fees, then it shouldn't be a problem. It's not putting Cotto's WBO belt on the line, so he doesn't have to worry about losing that, regardless what belt and weight, Cotto is confident enough to beat him in the first place whether it's 145lbs or 147lbs and there is not catch weight, so again it doesn't matter. If anything, it'll just be another belt for Cotto if he wins.

I agree to an extent, still feel this catchweight drama is bull. If cotto wants to come in at 147 and pacman at 141 or 145, why should manny object. Let each fighter come in between 141-147. Agree?

it's a made up belt by the wbc.

andre berto is the wbc champ at 147 so the wbc can't get involved in the pac-cotto fight.

they made this belt up so they can get involved and hopefully get paid.
