there are no set rules for this catchweight title. one fight he may defend it at 141, the next fight he may defend it at 144. basically he gets to pick and choose his own weight to his convience. and **** the WBC

So why are you guys taking it out on Pacquiao? WBC made the offer, why wouldn't he take it and does it really matter what belt or title is it in the first place, especially if many of you think that belts or titles don't mean anything. As long as it is fair for Cotto in terms of the weight and fees, then it shouldn't be a problem. It's not putting Cotto's WBO belt on the line, so he doesn't have to worry about losing that, regardless what belt and weight, Cotto is confident enough to beat him in the first place whether it's 145lbs or 147lbs and there is not catch weight, so again it doesn't matter. If anything, it'll just be another belt for Cotto if he wins.
