Cuz the old guys in the LHW division are either champs or have the biggest names. *** else would you do?

Personally I think it's better he spend his prime fighting an endless strip of mandatories.

I thought Johnson outworked Dawson & should have got the decision.I don't think there is a harder working over 40 boxer than Johnson.Hopkins has fought better guys but I got to say he doesn't look any slower than he was 5 or 6 years ago.he's in amazing shape & has a solid chance to beat Dawson.it is tough for over 40 guys to get close decisions vs young rising stars because the sport needs future stars & alot of people know the over 40 guys career is winding down.think foreman getting robbed in the Briggs fight.although Holyfield got some favorable decisions later due to his drawing power...I like Johnson because of his no nonsense, straight ahead style & his proffessionlism & hard work.he's been on the losing end of at least 5 or 6 fights that he should have gotten the decision.the hard luck boxer much like Emmanuel Augustus who I always said should get a title shot.

So it's all about names...no wonder UFC and MMa in general are getting more and more popular. If the so called champ would fight the top 10 fighters in their division more regularly that aren't names, maybe those adversaries would in fact become names, and the division would take a boost in interest.

This isn't news to me. Because I read it a couple of weeks ago in one of Steve Kim's stories. I haven't said anything about it until now, because I wanted it to make the main page of the web site while everybody is talking about it. I think it is some total bull**** that Johnson has to fight Dawson in Connecticut. Why not somewhere a little more neutral like Atlantic City?

Dawson has made me respect him a little more than what I did by rematching Johnson, and most of his fans are not arrogant. But Johnson is going to be kicked to the curb if he loses this fight. And I think if it goes to decision, he will have done enough to win because of his harder punches and more aggressive style and he will still get ripped off. Johnson has no choice but to take this fight out of the judges' hands.

Why oh why is Dawson taking this fight... Glenn's not pulling out no upset Dawson is gonna walk over him... I believe it was a waste of time giving old Tarver and Johnson rematches...

The Tarver rematch was pointless, but he is doing right by rematching Johnson. If he beats Glen, I'd like to see him fight Tavoris Cloud and try to get his belt back. Who else is Dawson going to fight that would be decent if Hopkins doesn't decide to fight him? Everbody at 168 is tied up except for maybe Allen Green. And I have no interest in that fight.

Since their first fight glen johson has got older and slower whereas dawson has got stonger and better. It's going to be nothing like the first fight (which I thought dawson won anyway), this wil be a complete domination by dawson. Johnson should still have the strength to last the full 12 though.
