You gotta show some props to Hatton. I mean damn the whole arena was chanting There's only one Ricky Hatton. Doesn't this happen at every Hatton fight? The guy is nowhere near done in boxing. He is 45-2 and has lost to two VERY TALENTED fighters. Give the guy a break.

Americans just love picking holes in foreign fighters who threaten to get anywhere near the level of their fighters.

Over the past few days we have learned that:
Lennox lewis is a c level fraud
Amir khan would lose to Erik Morales by 1st round tko NOW
Nigel Benn was a glass jawed bum
Joe Calzaghe is C level at best
Chris Eubank was a limited feather fisted bum.
Hatton is lucky to be c level

What an utterly ******ed statement.

How many times has Floyd lost? When was the last time Pac lost? P4P #1's are there because they don't lose fights. Hatton won every fight he ever had except those 2, and he deserved the chance to fight those guys.

You can pull his resume apart, just as you can anyone elses - but the FACT is that he beat everyone put in front of him, only coming up short against 2 ATG's. He gets slated for the Castillo fight, yet he knocked the guy out with a body shot within 4 rounds! WTF do people want from him?

Domestic level fighters are D and C class. Guys winning World championships are A class, multi title holders Elite - Then come the HOF fighters - of which Hatton is one, whether people like it or not. Above that are the top P4P fighters, the Greats and ATG's.

People need to realise that there are hundreds of thousands of boxers the world over that will never win **** - the guys at the top of the sport, the ones talked about on this forum EVERY DAY - are Elite.

To call hatton a fraud basically tells me you have no respect for fighters or the sport of boxing. Everytime Hatton stepped into that ring he was trying to dismantle his opponent and was willing to put himself at serious risk to get the big win for the fans. He made up for lack of slickness by coming at you like a freight train for 12 rounds. Testing opponenets will and conditioning with all out pressure.

I remember when Hatton fought Mayweather, i rounded up about 15 of my friends and we all packed infront of the bigscreen to watch that fight. Some were casual boxing fans and some were not all that familiar with the sport. Well that night EVERYONE was on the edge of there seats yelling and cheering for ricky. That was a great night even though hatton lost because everyone in the room saw his determination even though he got knocked out and now all of my friends beg to come over for the big fights...

Hatton has a huge heart, even when hurt badly he still kept coming.
