Hatton ran into a ring post or was he punched into one?
He dominated the LWW division for a period of time and beat all the top people in there. It's not his fault his division wasn't so stacked. Yes, he could of moved up to WW. In fact he did, against Mayweather.
He might of felt out of his depth at WW and decided to stay at LWW.

people like hatton for been a decent down to earth bloke, so hes never gonna be an atg but neither are a lot of good fighters. Fact is hes a good bloke and actually wanted to fight the best the world had to offer, unlike that people like that ****** gayweather whos quacking about all over the shop making out hes king making statements about being the best at least hatton made then and tried to back it up while floyd says it and ducks an hides away from all risk and doesnt seem to want to fight people his own weight. Thats why people like Hatton, great or ****e we Brits love him because hes British and down to earth. Seems like a lot of Americans dont like him just because hes Not American not because of his style of wins/losses. and anyone who says he is a bum knows nothing about boxing and should leave this site, how many bums get chance to fight p4p #1 fighters and hold different titles for years. as for running into a ring post if you look carefully hes already got momentum going forward when he was hit id love to see what you would have done had floyd smashed you in the head instead, probs pissed your pants and cried for mummy to clean you upComment

lmaoooo... if u honestly think hes a c level fighter ur crazy , hes a world champion your acting like he didnt win any rounds agaisnt floyd ..hatton is shot no doubt i think he is tottally underated though ..he did have boxing sklill he was quick on his feet and had good head movement when he wanted 2 . he just always wanted 2 give us our money worth i honestly think he always tryed 2 put his fans 1st . if ther were more fighters like ricky therd be no u f c .. im sick of threads dissing ricky calzaghe floyd or anyone these are great fighters who your gonna wish were boxing 10 years from now ..your gonna wish the next guy whos 43 and 0 steps up and takes on the best like ricky did this ****s ******ddddComment

in my personal opinion i believe hatton is more overrated than some people make him out to be. But! he is a good fighter with enough heart to go in there and fight who everyone thinks is the best, sure he did'nt win those fights but atleast he did'nt do what floyd did for years, sit about and say IM KING OF THE CASTLE! YOU DO THIS! YOU DO THAT! and then duck everyone that posed a threat to him. Hatton atleast had the balls to go in there and fight guys who outclassed him, he won rounds againts mayweather, who is an amazing boxer but a total douche at the same time.
But now i believe hatton is past his prime, and the pacman fight sure did'nt help dismiss that
so all in all, hatton is a good fighter, ide say he's an A class fighter just for the fact that he had the kahona's to fight the worlds best but he just has to many bad habits that pull him down, and he is getting up there in age (then again age is'nt really a factor considering some fighters) Still, i tip my hat to the british hitman, ricky hattonComment
