Once again: A Catchweight is used to even things out between two people who are not of the same weight class. People keep saying that Pac Is draining Cotto. That's not the damn case.

Pac is naturally 140. Cotto is Naturally 147. 145 is the Catchweight which should actually slightly favor Cotto because he's only two lbs. shy of the limit.

For those of you who keep demanding that Pac fight Cotto at 147, the flip side to that is why isn't Cotto fighting Pac at 140? Surprised eh? People keep saying that Pac is trying to tilt it in his favor. It's hilarious for me. He's a natural 140 right now!

    Fitzsimmons: Do you get that???

      So you agree with this

So if I point out the fact that Manny beat a weight drained Oscar, I am a "hater"?

He beat an overrated Hatton so I am a "hater" now.

Manny fans have selective memory. If I am not mistaken, the first Marquez was a draw, and essentially a win for Marquez because Marquez went down 3 times in one round and essentially shutout Manny the rest of the fight.

The 2nd fight, was close and could have gone either way.

Ummm.....he lost to Morales and then beat a washed-up Morales. When Manny fights legitimate fights, then I will have respect for him.

He wins one fight in the 140 lb division and all of the sudden he is the best fighter in that division? Sorry, but I don't think so.

LOL youre pretty much a hater..

        Might as well accept it..

Because if youre not a hater.. then your a lying bastard.

            Question to this writer

Why didn't the writer explained in this column that during the times of Armstrong's supremacy, the weign-in was done on the fight night itself?

If Pacqiauo's team haven't been able to agree to fight a guy that gave him the cathweight and the purse, i really see it almost impossible for them reach an agreement with PBF.

There are not even fighting each other and they are already way off on their demands

True that the fight has a potential to be one of the biggest sell in the sport but the egos of the fighters probably won't allow it.

In Terms of what fight will bring more action this is how i see it:
                #1
Cotto -Pacquiao. 2 warriors that are more recognized for offense while putting it all at risk while coming forward.

                #2
JMM-Pacquiao. Although JMM is a warrior also he is not as offensive as Cotto is.

                #3
PBF-Pacquaio. PBF is a true all around gifted fighter that uses his skill including his defensive skills which will make his fight against Pacquaio a lesser fight in terms of action in the ring compared to the other 2 above mentioned

Yeah, I get it, MaynMan... but I'm not sure you do.

I never said Pacquiao was draining Cotto. In fact, I believe I said that if Cotto wants to come in at 145, let him. However, my problem lies with the idea of mandating that he come at 145 while defending a title in a weight class with a 147-pound limit.

I couldn't care less if he weighs 120 for the fight. Just don't make it mandatory while still calling it a "welterweight title" fight. The welterweight class limit is 147 pounds. Not 145. Not 143. So, in defending a welterweight title, I think the champion ought to be able to weigh 147 pounds.

Regardless of whether he or the other guy is the drawing card.

And no, I never said Pac is trying to tilt it in his favor. What he is seeking, however, is the chance to win another title in another weight class. And if he wants to fight a welterweight champion, let him fight a welterweight champion who's allowed to weigh 147 pounds.

                  Got it this time, MaynMan?

I tried to write nice and slow for you... so I wouldn't have to explain it again.

Wait 1 minute...Mayweather? Same Mayweather who has avoided Mosley, Cotto, Clottey, Margarito, Pacquiao? yea, whatever. Bugs bunny has a better resume.
