Yea in a 15 rounder you would have to give Duran that extra edge, and to me if Duran is going to knock out Floyd it would be in 13-15. Through 12 rounds I am pretty sure Floyd "can" win 7 rounds and not get knocked out through 15 that is a murky question.

duran too slow too wild and toooo aggressive against shyt talkers.
duan's only shot is via a single ko punch.

        have you ever seen duran?

and floyd has many times layed on the ropes against his comp, if he did that with duran, he'd be in troble, becas duran wouldent let him out.

Duran can win if Floyd lays on the ropes a lot which he is known to do but Floyd can do different things.

I think that Floyd has a style that would end up all wrong for Duran and even Duran at his beat at 135 would have issues dealing with him.
The thing is there is no way Floyd could avoid Duran. If fighters like Castillo and Hatton can pressure Floyd and get to him, Duran is that x100. Also at 147 Floyd's punches would not dissuade Duran from coming forward at all.

If we are going with the first Leonard fight Duran, people need to watch that fight again. Duran did not just come forward recklessly and get hit. At that point he had developed much better boxing skills and set up the big punches beautifully. He also had great defense himself. His power carried in much higher weights the rest of his career, and he hurt Leonard a lot, who had a great chin. No question to me that Duran would land plenty on Floyd, and would not be able to be avoided, Floyd is not as fast as Leonard so he could not run like Leonard did. I would be surprised if Floyd lasted through a 12 round fight.

I would be suprised if Floyd makes it past the 10th round.

Of course Duran is gonna win this vote. theres no point in putting a poll like this. ppl will just vote with their sentiments as oppose to their logic. Duran is a legend in the sport and there are just way too many haters on this forum. Duran will win this because of popularity and not because ppl actually believe Duran will win.

Duran always had problems with cutesy fighters like Floyd, remember,he lost to Esteban DeJesus, who was also a speedy boxer. Of course,he KILLED DeJesus in the rematches. With that said, the Duran that beat Sugar was INSANE. There was no one beating him that night, and I loved Sugar. If it's for 15 rounds,Floyd is eating canvas at some point. For 12 rounds,if Floyd runs for his life,he might get a decision. And it's true what most have said here,Duran was very skilled, just look at the Hagler fight. He took Hagler to school, made the Marvelous one look ordinary, even if Hagler did win the fight.

Floyd is really good at inside defense/illeagle tactics to get room for his punches. Duran is a great fighter and could win but Leonard and Floyd are very very different fighters. Floyd tries to avoid getting hit Leonard never cared for defense and always got hit to much except when he would really use his legs Floyd on the other hand does not have to run around much to really avoid taking a lot of punches.

Duran can win sure he is a great fighter also and never can count out great fighters. Duran will hit Floyd more then his average opponent but I don't really know if that ammounts to enough to truly break him down and really weaken is defense. If Floyd lays on the ropes Duran would really be able to get after him though.

It would be an interesting fight, one that if they were both around at the same time the public would really want to see. I really just consider it a pickem fight because there are reasons to like both guys.
