So you people seriously think Floyd Mayweather is comparable at welterweight to Sugar Ray Leonard, who Duran beat? If this question was at lightweight I would give Floyd a little more credit and a chance but this is at welterweight. Duran easily wins this. Floyd does not have the hand speed, foot speed, or power to bother the Duran that beat Leonard.

i think that if floyd kept his combo power and launched his right hand like he did at 135 moving to 147...he'd have a better chance...but i still don't think that he'd even be knocked down...duran by SD...or mayweather by may/castillo first fight decision...

pbf would make duran look like an amateur. he would probably make him punch his self out by the 8th and make him quit by the 13th.

duran too slow too wild and toooo aggressive against shyt talkers.
duan's only shot is via a single ko punch.

Name a right handed fighter that has hit Floyd really cleanly in his whole career.

I will tell you this if they both occupied the boxing world at the same time people would be clamoring for a fight between the two and it is not because that they think one fighter is way better then the other~.

I really like Floyd, but this is one of the few matches that I can't favor him. Duran would've beat him, he wasn't an unskilled brawler as some people suggest.

i favor duran just for the fact they went 15th rounds back then and i don't know if floyd could handle the pressure and the extra rounds.

No I think Floyd is a vastly different fighter then Leonard which is why that fight with Leonard carries little weight with me. Floyd is a defensive tactical fighter while Leonard is an offensive minded fighter (for the most part). Duran can win if Floyd lays on the ropes a lot which he is known to do but Floyd can do different things.

I think that Floyd has a style that would end up all wrong for Duran and even Duran at his beat at 135 would have issues dealing with him.

truthfully...i believe that floyd would have no problem going 15...sparring 4:30 rounds can do that to you...
