Gomez had had only had 1 loss and 1 draw in his previous 8 fights before Cotto and that loss was at Middleweight!!..Cotto WHOMPED this Prime fighter..

and Jennings with a record of 34W-1L..had 6 straight wins right before Cotto and his only loss being via SD..and Cotto DEMOLISHED this PRIME young lad..

    No..simply NO!..see what I mean?
No. But who are you comparing Jennings and Gomez too?

They are on David Diaz' level..period!..

and it wasn't a comparison..it was using your logic as to how he's beating these "Prime" fighters while they're winning..

I dont think they are on Diaz level. Diaz isnt a A+ fighter, never said he was. But Diaz has been in with better guys than Jenninigs and Gomez combined. The only fighter who sticks out on Jennings record is...Nobody. and Gomez is ...A reaaal shot Gatti. One name fighter between two guys LOL.
At least Diaz was a ligitiment Champ. and has been in the ring with better guys...Morales{he was shot} Santa Cruz ,Emaneul Agustas { game ass guy} POINT- Diaz is better than them bums.

In 10 fights DLH was 7-3, which isn't really... bad per se, however, if we only go back 6 he was 3-3. That is just terrible, it shows he was on the decline it just only very few people thought it made a difference because of the weight. The fact is it shows that he was past his prime, you can tell that my just the people he lost/won to.

            Steve Forbes - Win
            Mayweather - Loss
            Mayorga - Win
            Hopkins - Loss
            Sturm - Win
            Mosley - Loss

He beat B class fighters, however, he could never beat a PvP best and/or elite fighter. It proved DLH was a great fighter, but he wasn't ever really THE best, or at least in the last 2 years of his career. The reason he looked/appeared better than what he was, is because all his fights in loses are for the most part very close, or at least extremely exciting. Also, it may appear that DLH wasn't past his prime before the Manny fight, but the Manny fight showed that he WAS past his prime. Sure, the weight may have had a lot to do with it, but DLH accepted that deal and no matter how you put it, it was nowhere near the best DLH to have stepped in the ring.

Hatton, is a B class fighter plain and simple. As was Gatti, but I take nothing away from either man. They put on great fights, had massive heart and were beloved. They were great to watch but not necessarily the best of their era, there is ZERO wrong with that, but Manny should have and did beat Hatton for that reason, he was great to watch, but not all that great skill wise. I'm not taking anything away from Paq, I'm just not giving him the extremely overblown amount of praise he is getting from everyone else and that apparently makes you a hater. I give Manny credit for everything he's done pre-Diaz, with MAB, Morales and JMM, and I feel the judges got both fights correct. The man is the best pound for pound fighter in the world, but eventually pounds do start to matter at some point and I don't know if Manny can handle the power at WW.
I know how to research egghead. that was a type error , but thanks for pointing that out. The 8 was supposed to be a 5 . If you could research you could have seen I mentioned two losses Being Floyd and Bhop. If you count up before Manny that would be 5. Sorry that something that simple confused you.

You don't have to ask him..you can see it..it was extremely obvious..DLH of 97,98,99 would have put PAC TO SLEEEEEEP!! ZZZzzzZZzZzZzz!!!

DLH was not himself in there..props to Pacquiao for jumping at the opportunity as quickly as he did..in a great fashion..but DLH helped him look that great..just like Hatton helped Pac too by trying to push Pac back with his hands at his waist!..
dlh should be totally embaressed for challenging lighter fighters, SSM, PBF, and PACMAN, and getting his *ss whipped by all three of them. If anyother fighter would have challenged such smaller fighters, it would have been DENIED by any boxing commission, but since it was odlh, OHHH, it's OK!!!! IT'S ALL ABOUT GENERATING MONEY, NOT BOXING SKILLS! WHICH JOTO NEVER HAD!!!!

He knocked out Ricardo Mayorga in 6 in 2006. The same Mayorga that Shane Mosley took 12rds to knock out and came literally within seconds from losing on the scorecards to in 2008.

No they're not. David Diaz has wins over Jose Armando Santa Cruz, Erik Morales and Emanuel Augustus. Those 3 wins alone > both Jennings and Gomez's entire careers. And i've been saying for years that Juan Diaz ducked David in favor of an OPTIONAL defense against grandpa Nate Campbell when there was an offer to unify all 4 belts.
