I haven't gone over the pages but the point Holyfield was making with Forrest chasing down that person who stole his hat...and I'm going to add in the fact that Forrest was a "giver" in life to charities as well as the man who asked him for some money which is why he took out his wallet {who ended up robbing him}....that Forrest was more than willing to give to those in need but refused to allow thieves take advantage.

Ask Forrest for a dollar for a good cause and he will give it. Try to steal a dollar from Forrest and he will refuse to allow it.

Just look at the charities that Forrest was passionate about and that says it all about the Man.
