Vernon Forrest's Murder, Additional Details Surface

flame me but this was ******ity. A guy pulls a gun out on you and you go chase him with your own gun. Someone was going to die! Forrest took a big risk and was careless in his actions. IF he thought with his head on straight he'd realize he has enough money to not even worry about a ***en wallet and let them run off. He couldn't control that he was a target of a robbery but it was clear that the people stealing his wallet did not want to kill him or the killer would have shot him point blank there and take his wallet. Chasing him brought on a whole new event.

I agree. Not to mention he had his ****ing godson inside the gas station. Why would you bring a gun fight anywhere near your 11 year old godson. Poor judgement, ultimately cost him his life. **** happens. RIP champ.

Very sad story. You wish Vernon would've had more sense and just let it go, but what can you do. Some people just can't let others beat them, and that's what this was about. Forrest could've easily let the guy take the wallet and go on his way, but his mentality wouldn't allow it.

Unfortunately, Vernon lost it and that cost him his life. I wish he had not gone after the guy but I understand. I was in a similar situation where two guys were trying to steal my car and I did not know they were in the car. They opened the door and pushed me and ran. I grabbed my gun and start shooting. Very ****** I could have gotten jail time for that but I lost it.
I call it temporarily insane. Insane for about 15 seconds and I bet that is how long Vernon was insane then he caught his senses and turned to walk away but unfortuantely he was dealinfg with a coward who shot him.
2009 has been a bad year for celebrities.
Being from ATL I always supported Vernon. Hopefully they will catch they guys as Vernon did so much for so many outside of boxing.
