We have almost similar take on the fight. Check out post # 38, 3 1/2 hours ago, it's so eerily similar --> http://www.boxingscene.com/forums/sh...47#post5772647

have u heard of the saying: "there is always the first time for everything"
manny have been KOd 2x, had been fyting bigger and bigger opponents.
people first think and believe that all of manny's foes are stronger than manny.
this is nothing new....from diaz to oscar to ricky.....now cotto!
but roach strongly believes in manny's strength since then.
we'll see about this come fyt nyt.......
its going to be a easy night for Cotto

you know whats up mangler. My opinion is this is a flip flop of the Cotto Margarito fight to an extent(omit likely cheating). Pac will be in Cotto role trying to get off a lot , moving in and out side to side, but if he has to take shots to do so you will see him get more and more reluctant to do so. As he takes punishment he will slow down and Cotto will close the distance and start ****in. The question to me is can Pac take it and maintain enough offense to get a victory. The dark horse is Cotto's jab if he is effective from the outside with it and on the inside as many think gets the better of the exchanges than I see him battering Manny midpoint on maybe stopping him at some point.

He didn't look good in the Clottey fight but nevermind the Margarito war, or Mosley, Quintana, Malignaggi, Zab Judah, Cortley, Gomez and the list goes on and on...... And he doesnt deserve to fight Pacquiao ????? Your an idiot.... LOL.Comment

You make a hell of a good point here..... I agree 100%... Manny does not have Margo's Mexican iron chin or power punches.... Once this little pac feels that power, it's running time..... Trust me.... I CAN'T WAIT TOO SEE THIS FIGHT....Comment

Nice Fight
Nice Fight this is Cotto biggest challenge and PacMan biggest challenge 2.
I agree with must of what Freddie said he is one of the few trainers that truly knows what hes talking about.
But for me it will come down to: if Cotto will be able to handle PacMan punches that will have to see the day of the fight.
Cotto has proven to resist lots of punches on a fight yet he always feel them.
If PacMan power doesn't show well Cotto will eventually hunt him down.
If Cotto feells them then its going to be a long fight for him because PacMan will truly hit Cotto lots during the fight.
The only statement where I have to disagree with Freedie is PacMan defense. I still haven't seen that side of him hes been knockdown lots of time and almost everyone has manage to hit him at will. His biggest defense has always been his offense from my point of view.
Also people please watch more Cotto fight he is a true boxer, not as complete as PacMan but he does combination and moves well if not ask Mosley.
As a PR I want Cotto to win but this one is to thought to tell even if Cotto should have the edge. After first round I will know all i need to know to determine the winner. This fight reminds me of Tito Trinidad vs Oscar de la Hoya.
The only fight I could recall not being right was
Cotto vs Margarrito (I laught at people that pick Margarito my bad)
Paul vs PR (Mocano) (first fight i thought Paul willing would end this early but the PR dude won lol)
Winky Wright vs Hopkins (Ok this won i still think Winky won Hopkins just threw more punches)Comment
