    Is Tarver done?

I was wondering about that. 'Cause he lost the last two fights and he's already 40, turning 41 in a few months. I'd like him to make one last good performance before wrapping it up. But who can he fight? Or should fight?

I think he is yes. I hope he quits because of always thought he was overrated and far too up his own arse. However with his ego I think he will fight again, maybe Johnson at a guess.

Tarver looks very well for 40 years of age. His last 2 losses have come against in my mind the best 175 fighter in Chad Dawson. And he did give a solid effort in the rematch. He wipe washed Clinton Woods only a year ago, and Woods is now fighting for the IBF Title.

His best days are behind him, but I still feel he may have something to offer still and could still get wins over some good fighters. I would advise a move to the Cruiserweight division, were he could seek some fresh fights. And maybe have a run for the title.

Yeah, he is definitely too slow for the LHW division now. But has more than enough power to compete as a cruiserweight.

Thread title should be "How long has Tarver been done?"

I sure hope he's done. Never liked the Popeye-voiced Malteser-head.

The third Jones fight was the last we saw of real Antonio Tarver. He let his "acting career" and fame get in the way of boxing. And he made a ****** move and went back to the lightheavy division. I wonder why he bothered to do that since he had really bulked up during the filming of Rocky Balboa? He coulda just fought as a heavyweight or at least cruiserweight. Just think of the money he would make fighting as heavyweight? Who wouldn't pay to watch Tarver vs Klitschko or Tarver vs Rahman??

I don't think Tarver is done. I'd pick him to beat several of top 10 fighters in the LHW division...Tarver will be around for a couple more years.
