It's too much of a challenge to meet someone halfway, open your mind to actual debate and be prepared to have your own perspective not necessarily changed per se but broadened. And so you contrive a reason to declare their point of view worthless. It's the only way you can deal.

I didn't see him do anything more than express an opinion and attempt to support it based on his view of the nuances behind 2 fighters' win-loss statistics. There was stuff you could disagree with, sure, but nothing outrageous enough to engender the tone you took in response.
You didn't qualify your argument against his especially, all you really offered was a serious of jibes topped off with a snide allegation of racism at a poster who has never shown any indication of racial bias on this forum whatsoever.

See, you just did it again.

What analytical powers are you exhibiting by idly sweeping participants in a discourse into default categories just because you're too much of a jaded ass to address them as individuals or consider there might be something you could take from another poster's differing viewpoint?

I'll tell you - nil. You're just being a lazy, arrogant prick.

So, while there may be a few knuckle-headed Klitschko supports trolling around the internet, in this instance (and many others FWIW), you're the ignorant, deluded one.

    There's my analysis.
When someone makes an asinine assertion (and that's all Tunney's alt has made throughout this thread) I'm not going to waste my time trying to have reasoned discourse over it: I'm simply going to point out that the assertions are asinine and make sure the poster understands what a mental lightweight he is. Why in the hell would I attempt to have a rational discussion with someone who thinks the world is flat? There are things that are so patendly obvious that discussing it with someone who thinks the opposite is pointless: One simply laughs at the fool then seeks someone intelligent to talk to.

I'm bored of that "suffer fools gladly" line, it's a cop-out. Not everyone who ever got blown off after disagreeing with you was a fool.

Also, they're not all his alts. I'm not even sure we're referring to the same poster at this point. You obviously can't distinguish between the ones you brand racists and nuthuggers because you blur all of them into that one default categorical mass. Further making my point about how you address individual posters with a differing point of view on X topic.

I personally think the crux of this thread is slightly more nuanced and slightly less black and white than you're making out. But that's okay.

It's funny, though, how all the 'intelligent' ones here are all the ones who agree with you. Or who make a habit of not disagreeing with you on the subjects of your personal bugbears. More or less.

And I rarely see you in rational discussion with any of them FWIW. You're far more ready to engage with the ones you say are the imbeciles sporting patently ridiculous 'earth is flat' theories.

As far as I'm concerned when they make the same idiotic posts about the same subjects as he does then they're his alt. Now they may well be one of his moronic groupies but as far as I'm concerned that's no different than being his alt.

Typical Euro-Weenie attitude: Avoid saying anything right or wrong and desparately manufacture as much grey area as possible.

Try coming into the Boxing History section sometime. People who think the current crop of Heavyweights are poor hardly constitute a "flat-earther": Personally trying to pretend Wlad is an all-time great is far closer to THAT than the former is.

Corrie Sanders already took Wlad apart within two rounds, brutally knocking him down 4 times; exposing him as a china chinned fighter with little to no answer to even remote pressure.

We don't need the great Holmes to deal with Wlad. Golfer and club fighter Sanders has already done it.

Sanders was far more than a clubfighter you poncie! He was one of the most dangerous and avoided fighters when he faced Wladimir. Also one of the first to hurt and knock down Rahman. Who at the time was really good.

Didn't read anything but the 1st page but I will weight in with my 2 cents......

I believe Moorer is dead on. I don't know about an early KO but I believe Holmes between 4 and 8 would dispose of the weak chinned and talent challenged Wlad. Wlad is a Heavyweight Champion for one reason. The division is weaker than it has ever been. Holmes is a HOF heavyweight who ranks right up with the top 7 or 8 heavyweights in history. He would jab the mess out of Wlad and land an occassional straight right until Wlad showed signes of being done. At that point Holmes would finish him.

BTW, the concensus views of boxing historians (ie. people who know a LOT more about boxing then you and NSB fan-bois) tend to be quite a bit closer to those of the people I see eye-to-eye with than they are to the people I routinely slap down.....are boxing historians "flat-earthers"?

YEr I did just add that for effect but the point was there. Point is Sander is not exactly an ATG whereas Holmes is.

And what exactly makes Holmes an ATG?? Who did he beat to qualify for that title? Spinks,Tyson? Oh, that's right...he didn't!
