Hatton was the one who said he could outmuscle Mayweather at 147. Said Mayweather isn't even that big, it came out of his mouth. When Mayweather was at Jr WW, Hatton's father told Mayweather that Hatton wasn't even ready.Comment

what's up mate
is it ideal? no, of course it's not... but Marquez won't go from ATG to bum over the space of 9lbs. the Marquez that enters the ring against Floyd will be a formidable opponent, i'm sure of it. and i'm confident JMM will prove he is above the issue of a few pounds come fight night, and will at very least give a great showing of himself
also, when taking a step back and looking at the full picture beyond official weigh ins it becomes apparant that the compromise Marquez has to make is not exactly miles away from size related advantages given up on a regular basis in boxing...
i don't like the term unfair for this fight as it connotes that he was forced into this position, when really he's pursuing the opportunity of a lifetime
the Marquez fan in me will be on here i told you so'ing all day the next day should he triumph against Mayweather
true, but i was more talking about the weight he is gaining that he otherwise wouldn't have, as opposed to his weight relative to Mayweather'sComment

Please don't jack the thread in another diretcion. It's about Floyd-JMM and not Pac-Cotto.
So even if Floyd fights welters, wants to fight welters and has fought welters for the past 4 years he isn't a welter?Comment

I'm talking about his size here. Ofcourse your gonna be labeled whatever division you fight in but I'm talking about his size. Still confused? I wouldn't call Floyd a natural WW, he is more a Jr WW to me.
You should have atleast known what I was talking about.Comment

i think Dominicano is mostly referring to Mayweather's size
that is, he rehydrates to around 147-149lbs, which is generally the size of a modern junior welterweight come fight nightComment
