Maybe because he does have interest in facing Cotto or Shane. He did say, he plans on fighting twice a year and he is here to stay.

Why wont he fight a LW at 140 then?

Look on top. Another thing, JMM isn't even established at 140, what would be the difference?

I voted c-class win. It would have been much better if the fight was at 140 so I think those 9 lbs makes a significant difference.

depends on how he beats him. JMM is the smaller man but he's a warrior that comes to fight. if he KO/TKO's JMM then i would rate it a B maybe

If he really has that interest then he should have fought a WW contender instead of reducing the p4p no.2 to a tune-up IMO.

Because it would then only be one weightclass JMM would have to jump obviously and since Floyd in your opinion is a JWW then it makes more sense to make the fight there. By making the fight at 145 (or whatever the weight will be) Floyd is getting a huge advantage IMO.

S.G...the thing is that...it isn't 9 pounds we're talking about. JMM will come in at 144, then drop down to 142 maybe. Mayweather will weigh in 144, come in 146-147. We're talking 4-5 pounds.
