he won the title at the WW limit of 147 so if pac wants it he should fight him at 147. 145 is not a weight class

145 is NOT the welterweight limit so cotto should not hav to put up his welterweight belt. im a pac fan but he cant hav his cake and eat it too

Exactly a Welterweight fight is fought withing Welterwieight limits doesnt have to be max but can be if wanted, 146 is not max yet is still welterweight but if a fighter is not allowed to come in at max then its not a true welterweight fight its a catchweight fight if pac wins he can be the catchweight champion of the world. I show respect for pac and cotto equally...i just call it like i see it ...it is wat it is dude.

The Catchweight agreement is all it is...Its a WW fight agreed between two fighters that neither will come in over the agreed weight. [in this case is only two lbs under 147] There is no Catchweight Champion lol nor will there be. There is NO reason NOT to fight for a tiltle when there is an agreed weigh in weight on the table already. It is still in the LIMITS of the division thereof !

Next i completely understand what you are saying but all it is is a Catchwieght agreement within the welterwieght division yet for it to be a title fight there should be no catchwieght and limits should be 147. With your logic it would be ok for a catchwieght of 141 and it being ok to be a Welterwieght title fight because it is in the boundaries of the Welterwieght division ..im sorry but GTFOH

If two fighters agree to fight at what ever weight. SO BE iT! Yes if with in the boundaries of the division it can very well be a title fight. the sanction bodies have no problem with it so there is no problem. In this case Cotto is the only one crying about it for no reason.
