After retirement.....Floyd and Hopins could be great boxing trainers.

Hed be a great trainer.....Who can't teach again?...The boy is a ****ing master in the ring..the best in the world for a reason.

That's not teaching. Thats showing what he did. It's incredibly hard teaching the shoulder roll technique. Which is why most people dont teach it and the only people who taught it successfully is the obvious Mayweather family.

Like Jack Dempsey said; You can know how to throw a right straight but to teach someone who knows nothing about boxing how to throw a right straight is something he could not do.

Well James Toney learned the shoulder roll...I don't think Floyd's family taught him it.

The shoulder roll was invented before the Mayweathers from wat I remember...I think it was passed down in Michigan gyms...

Yeah Toney and Mayweather got it from their hometown...Michigan.

And I doubt Floyd would force a young guy with a styloe of margarito to shoulder roll...I mean get real.

To be under Floyd you dont have to shoulder roll.......are you serious.

          Nuff said.

Anyway did you see the video I posted in this thread?
Yup I watched it. I also saw a pretty likable guy in there who was down to earth. If he was like that publicly all the time, the hate factor he receives would be 90% reduced.

I think that Floyd is the real Floyd. I wish he would show it more.

Well yeah but I dont know who taught Toney. And of course it was before the Mayweathers but i'm talking successfully. Roger and Sr. taught Floyd.... can we argue Floyd is not the best to ever use the shoulder roll? I dont know about that one.

Anyways. I said I "doubt" he can. I called him an ass but so what, thats how his personality is. I'm not bashing him for this topic, you can go dig up the archives and see me praise the hell out of Mayweather and his style and see me dissect his style to the teeth. I just said I seriously "doubt" he can teach. He doesn't show the qualities of a good teacher.

                Maybe Roy Jones too...
Great fighters are very rarely great trainers because it is impossible to teach somebody else what comes naturally to them. I think Hop would have a better chance than Roy or Floyd becuase as great as he is, he isn't as naturally gifted. He had to work to and develope as a fighter to master his skills.

Not to mention they have been around great trainers like Roger Mayweather....Floyd Sr. and ****m Rchardson.

If they really wanted to they would be great trainers IMO.

Neither Mayweather has built a fighter who wasn't already ultra talented. Good trainers? Yes. But neither are as good as Richardson, Steward, Berinstien and many others.

I like Naazim but he never built a fighter either...Bouie Fisher was Bernard's trainer
