however, when gauging both fighters, and giving them a rating, i would clasify NAZ as a good, explosive fighter....he would get a B+ (not saying he is a B-level fighter) grade...Marco would get an A-....these grades, in my book, are based on in-ring accomplishments, style, effectiveness and competition
As i see where your coming from and understand what you saying,
Yes Barerra has had better in ring accomplishments, he fought Junior Jones twice and lost.
Naz called out Junior Jones but got nothing back,
    what can be said?
    He wanted the fight,
he called Barerra out for years and finally got him fair enough.
Barerra had the first fight with Morales under his belt before he met naz in which he lost that too,
In my opinon he won tho!
What I am trying to get at is yes Barerra had the better resume coming into the fight againt two Legends but Naz had called them out too but they wanted nothing to do with him.
What I give to Barerra is and even too this day is his Love and passion for boxing,
its in his vains he cant give it up.
If hamed had the same passion I think he could of taken Barerra,
I dont think his desire to work hard prior to fights would have degressed and i believe he would off stil had Ingle in his corner.
He would of eventually got to fight Morales, Jones and Tapia.

no it doesn't ******,a fighters prime has to do with his mental and physical peak

No he wasn't at his absolute best against barerra you ******,just admit you havent even watched his fights from 1998-2001 and his steady decline

Emanuel steward threatened to walk out of their training camp because of hamed's lack of dedication,he was hardly aiming to be at his best otherwise he would have trained harder

barerra is only looked upon that way now because of his tainted victory of hamed,he wasn't regarded as hameds greatest opponent at the time and there's a reason hamed was such a heavy avourite

That little known fact is actually true i remember someone posted a link to an interview of some sort on here awhile back with info on this,
Naz did offer a title shot to JMM

did it ever occur to you that tom "boom boom" johnson pretty much smokes every fighter that hamed fought from 1998-2001? Or are you ignorant of his career?

face facts marco antonio barerra is an overrated glass jawed chump who ducked hamed for over three years

he meets hamed at the right time and scores a win over an absolute shell of his best days and this somehow makes him an all time great

              no it ****ing doesn't.

He's still the overrated coward with a glass jaw who was exposed and knocked out by junior jones

hamed was the star, hamed was the champion yet he had to call the names out

watching barerra quit like a coward again amir khan was very satisfying to see, that coward had that coming for over 8 years

So it is Barerra's fault that Hamed wasn't prepared to fight him? I think some are confusing peak with prime. Hamed certainly wasn't punch drunk or massively out of shape when the fight occurred. He was certainly in his "prime", just not peak condition and was beaten handily.

Don't confuse Hamed being an idiot with him being past it.

Are you trying to throw out a name and hope I don't know what you're talking about? Tom Johnson was probably one of his best wins - and, along with the Robinson fight, one of his most consistent performances. I'll even ignore the fact that Johnson was on the downside of his career and had been quite inconsistent prior to facing Hamed. What you fail to understand is that neither the 96 version, the 98 or the 2000 version of Hamed would've beaten Barrera. 70% of the board agrees.

It's the dumbest thing I ever heard. He was out of his prime because he stopped training. What logic.
