As a cotto fan cotto is beatable. He already got beat by margarito and he starts out slow but what benefits cotto that does not benefit pacman and people seem to miss or don't want to accept is that cotto fights the true welterweights and that is very good lesson. Is cotto great? NOPE ! He is a good fighter who has the goods to beat ATG fighters. Can he do it? We'll find out. Fans need to be open and not blind or smitten by the media.

it's not just speed, Pacquiao is just better at everything. I don't think Cotto will pull the trigger because he's a very patient accurate based style of fighter. Pacquiao won't give him a target.

lol....who is hatton? David Diaz? Pacman has only fought 1 welterweight in last 10 fights. Oscar, besides that he has fought featherweights/lightweights and super featherweights. True???

            pacman:

            Hatton (140)
            Dela Hoya (145)
            Diaz (135)
            Marquez (130)
            Barrera (130)
            Solis (130)
            Morales (129)
            Lariois (129)
            Morales (130)

            Cotto:
            Clottey (147)
            Jennings (146 1/2)
            Margarito (147)
            Gomez (147)
            Mosley (146 1/2)
            Judah (145)

YEP, Sugar ray leonard, tyson, holyfield, etc, etc all fought fighters that were faster than them.

I'm glad you posted this because it proves the DLH fight wasn't much of win. DLH was 3 out of 6 his last fights before Paq. Hatton should have been 2/3, he got lucky the ref intervened when Hatton was on wobbly legs against Licano a no-name and Hatton was anything but impressive in his fight with Paulie. My point? Manny hasn't been tested by anyone bigger than 130, Diaz wasn't/isn't exactly an elite, this is my only reason why I doubt Paq. I will never question anything about Paq before that or after he beats a legitimate WW, until then the jury is still on what Paq can do against a WW or Jr. WW for that matter.

With who Cotto? It may be a slight step up...far from elite. Pac seems to be doing great in the zone...Cotto not so..

i agree, but you forgot to include what happens after he struggles with them: he beats the **** out of them is they're small (judah) or outpoints them if they're big (mosley)
