Miguel Cotto struggles against fighters with fast hands

Youre a ****ing genius! This is my own assessment that I think can't be disputed. Fighters with quick hands and any kind of punch give him issues. Zab Judah had him in trouble early in their fight, and an almost 40 year old Shane pushed him to his limits. This is why I think Pac KO's Cotto mid rounds.Comment

Cotto's problem won't be in Pacquiao's hand speed in my opinion but Pacquiao's foot movement. I'm almost confident that Pacquiao and Roach won't come into this fight aiming for a KO. They are gonna be moving around giving Cotto angles and not allowing Cotto the chance to sit on his punches or to bully Pacquiao in the ropes. Cotto is gonna have to rely on his jab, which is a very good one, more than ever and pick his spots early. He is also going to have to try and get Pacquiao with early body work. This really is a fight that Cotto should win.Comment

No. Cotto doesn't struggle with fast handed boxers. He gasses after 7 rounds, yes. Does that mean he struggles against fighters like that? No.This is my own assessment that I think can't be disputed. Cotto struggles agaisnt effective pressure fighters. He struggles when a fighter keeps comming at him no matter what and throws punches constantly. Which is why his only loss came from a fighter that does such and Clottey pushed Cotto to a very very disputed decision.
Guys who like to box. Who will stand and try to box with him instead of pressure and brawl with him. He has no problem against. Hence how he beat Mosley whom you used in your example. And no, Cotto was not pushed to his limits against Mosley. Cotto was gassed and couldn't finish him, so he pulled a Mayweather.Comment
