Miguel Cotto struggles against fighters with fast hands

I agree..
Corley, Torres, Judah, and Mosley were all FAST and atleast 3 of them really had him stunned..not so much because of their power..but because of their speed..they caught him off guard and had him hurt..
but one thing about your "assessment" is that you claim that Pac KO's him by the mid rounds?..
ALL those guys caught him early..and by the mid rounds they were ALL getting timed and PUNISHED!..if Cotto makes it past the 5 or 6th round with out being seriously hurt..Pac will be getting walked down after that..cuz the jab and body work will be too much..just like it was for the guys named up top!..just my opinion..
I see what ur saying. Maybe I was a little off with the middle rounds KO, but I think Pac can stop him early. If he's able to find his chin enough before Cotto can find Pac's "***els" then he might get stopped. Later in the fight Cotto would start to walk him down probably.
Another possibility I saw coming to fruition was against Floyd. Floyd has fast hands as well and would be able to pick Cotto apart with straight right hands. And if Cotto makes it into the later rounds, Mayweather would be able to "out-adjust" him and win either by late stoppage or UD.Comment

lets get real. For a time Cotto was known as a guy who in the 9th and 10th round usually could put enoug hurt on his opponents to get them out of there or at least have them worn down enough to be the boss. Now he is fightin the best not just in boxing divisions but guys who are considered p4p the elite. Does Cotto have weaknesses hell yeah. He does seem to fight more in spots in the later rounds and that hurts him as it does most fighters. He is open for uppercuts and needs to use a little more head movement to not get hit so much but again quality opposition are the only ones doing this to him. Cotto has to get more active, he needs to fall in love with is jab and work off of it and go back to ****in the body more. Somethin you cant question is his chin and his heart. How many fighters would have used the cut as a way out? How many would have folded. Clottey fought his ass off but he was getting busted all night long by Cotto's jab.Comment
